Excellent job on the video. Makes me regret that we didn't spend more time video recording. The steepness of the entry on Baby Lion's Back sure does not come through on video or stills (as usual), but I thought that you guys captured the feel of it (the fin aspect of it as well as steepness)...

Yes, that was us at Hurrah Pass stopping to chat with the Mitsubishi Delica (blue) 4x4 van guy. The tan van is Railvan's Sportsmobile; outfitted quite nicely indeed.

Nice. The 1st Gen are a little lighter, get better mpg, have bigger footwells, and are better looking IMO. I'd go here for wheel/tire questions and other Astro specific questions as oppossed to overlading set up questions...

Wow, excellent pics. We were there too w/ mtn bikes. motos and pop top 4x4 vans. Camped a couple different places including off a corner of Fins an Things: You may have ridden right by our camp. Hurrah Pass and Pucker Pass were great. We took the road on the plateau below in your DHP...

My GTRV gets a lot of wind noise and has a bad seal over my door, but no water ever gets in. Was just driving in diagonal hard rain and no problems, so I wouldn't think CCV tops would have leakage problems. Ryan, I just drove thru Boise on the way home from Moab last weekend.

I was there last week. Spur of the moment trip. Astro Adventure Week is right after Jeep Safari Week, but apparently I was the only one that knew that, town's people included. :coffeedrink: All I got so far are iphone pics. My laptop isn't listenning to my big camera, but have a photobucket...

Some good thinking went into that interior. Great van! Welcome to Expo.

Understandable, though. I keep a standard stash there, inluding a 1 million candlepower hand held spot that plugs into the lighter, among other things. If it came down to a choice of one or the other, I'd trade the stash spot for the swivel, too, though. Great work.

There's also a rare Quigley conversion with hitop on Burlington craigslist right now. probably rustier than a Housto van...saw it posted on asv.
