    Tiger (GT and XL) Hunting

That lifted Tiger is such a good visual of what could be done with these rigs.

    Astro AWD "Stroverlander"

I hear ya, brother. I got two garages and my van doesn't fit into either one! As always, looking forward to your progress reports.

Dude, you live in SAN DIEGO!

    Astro AWD "Stroverlander"

It's sure been useful for us, and depending on where you like to go, it could certainly be useful. You'll love it. Wiley, of course who wouldn't love that $10,000plus interior, but if we waited until the vans were totally kitted out before we went anywhere, we'd never go anywhere, right...

    Astro AWD "Stroverlander"

The van looks awesome! Great job. Too bad about the geographic location of the tccm. Big Daddy, we have gone back and forth about copying this interior from the Safari Condo Astro (out of Quebec). GTRV (Out of Vancouver) also makes a Westy style interior.

    Fleetwood/Coleman Evolution Series Tent Trailers

Does anyone see a problem with mounting a moto tray on the rear of an E1 for a single moto? My Gas Gas 450 enduro is 260 lbs dry. I'd like to haul an E1 with my AstroLander, and shudder at the thought of adding the 260 more lbs to the tongue weight. If I were to weld a receiver for a hitch...

    Herbie's Chevy Astrolander/ZMB Build Thread

Thanks! Worst case scenario, we'll see you in San Diego again next August while on J.Low's business trip. Looking forward to your observations on the ball joint relocation off roading experience. I'd imagine it would be fine.

Have you added the Blingsteins up front yet? My Rancho 9000's seem a bit Vanilla, althout I don't really have anything to compare them to on the Astro. BTW, #2, litte Lilja, is going to arrive any day (minute?) now.

Help!! Check out this 4X4 Astro Van. Should I buy it?

I agree with r-w. The short vans like that one, and with a straight axle, are really good off road (but smaller to camp in). But I hate working on rusty old stuff. How much do you prefer the lifted 4x4 aspect of this van? And the SAS (straight axle swap)?

Help!! Check out this 4X4 Astro Van. Should I buy it?

Hard question to answer over the internet. I wish mine were a clean rust free low mileage shorty. How clean do want it? Sounds like you will be doing double duty with camper mods and restoration. And everything takes twice as long when all the parts are rusted together. On the other hand...

Son of Syncro...is there a modern equivalent?

Really does open the door for the conspiracy theorists, doesn't it.

Pretty sure I've seen these in Mexico.

Son of Syncro...is there a modern equivalent?

Is Transit a midsize? Looks to be a full size. Too bad Toyota doesn't make a 4wd van on the Taco platform.

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

Alaskacreeker, nice rig. Like the video on the Kimberly. Impressive unit indeed. You've got to have the coolest Toyota Oddysse in the van forum, no doubt, :sombrero:

Son of Syncro...is there a modern equivalent?

I've got a weekend worth of mods into my van. I assume parts are cheap and available, but i haven't actually had to buy any in the 40,000 miles/4 years I've owned it. 16 inch wheels, with 31" tires, 200hp 4spd automatic, 4:10 gears, locked. 4 wheel disc brakes. Crawls up Fortune Creek trail...

Astro AWD to 4WD conversion thread

I did not need to change the drive shaft, and I did not opt for the axle disconnect. Yeah, I just let the awd drive axle free wheel.

Astro AWD to 4WD conversion thread

I swapped my 2003 awd Astro NP136 for a NP233C from a donor '98 s10 Balzer (no typo intended). With the electronic shift, having the donor vehicle is key because the TCCM was impossible to find for me until I found a complete donor. Witht eh vehicle, I had the tccm, the harness, and the...
