OK...I have decided to go forward with the steel wheels....just changing up the look. Ordered: -(4) 10mm hubcentric spacers....this was the smallest width I could find that were hubcentric...this will put the wheel and 255/75/17 ST Maxx pretty much flush with the fender... - (20) 12-20...

I am a frequent flyer and carry the MLC bag as well...I use a roller computer bag and just put the MLC on that and go....for my travels the soft sides bag is great because it goes in places that roller bags will not...and in today's airplanes overhead space is valuable.

So close to Africa....when is that adventure?

Update...make me an offer on this...might be a good toy for the kids or a dedicated expo rig iPad...the speaker issue is a slight irritation and is fixed with a hard restart....it does not interfere with the function of the iPad and is not the reason I am selling....I ran out of storage...

OK...little update...found a company called Motorsport-Tech in Sparks, NV..https://www.motorsport-tech.com that has some 10mm hubcentric spacers available. Got 4 of those on order, plus some longer wheels studs. So I guess this a go ahead with the steel wheels along with the Cooper ST Maxx.

I talked with those guys about a year ago and never really pursued anything. I do not have the rack bug anymore so not really been looking. They do look like great racks.

Good points....I bought a 5/16 spacer from the local AutoZone this morning and tried that and it removed all of the rubbing and the tire still was inside the fender. Actually it moved the tire/wheel just to the edge of the fender. There are some companies that will make you hubcentric spacers...
