Replaced the fuel filter last night and what a difference that made. Like driving a new Jeep again. I've given lots of thought to the purpose and build direction of the Jeep. I think I'll just address the things I don't like about it first and then make a game plan for which way the build will...
I'm running into the same issue. So much stuff to carry all the time and I hardly ever get to use it. It's time to do a clean up inside mine I think. Thanks for the inspiration!
My JCR were $420 Shipped. I'd definitely recommend them. Love the look of the newer Rubicon wheels on the WJ. How's the suspension in terms of noise so far?
Finally made it back to Calgary last night from a 9,000kms road trip. Didn't take many pictures since I was on a schedule and it was pretty cold.
The drive there started in Calgary Alberta and went down to Shelby Montana. From there I stayed on highway 2 through North Dakota where we stopped...

I'm still undecided on what I'll do. Everytime I look at my Jeep it really feels like something is not right with the wheels sitting so far in.
Finally got around to replacing the leaky oil pan gasket. The old one was baked on the pan and we bent the pan trying to pry it out. So I had to order a new pan.
Took it for a shake down run yesterday to the mountains. Drives pretty good. Just needs a few minor adjustments before departing...
Got the winter tires back on today. What a difference it makes going from a 53 lbs General to the 40 lbs Blizzacks. I'm thinking I'll get rid of the Generals and get something with a load range C instead of the E the General Grabbers are.
The only real downside with the Blizzacks is that...
Thanks for the kind words.
I'm working on getting some driveline vibrations sorted out and a few maintenance items this week. Hoping to make the trip across the USA in mid December from Montana to Vermont and back. So I'd like to make sure everything is as good as can be before I set out on a...
I've seen the red WJ you're talking about. It looks great. That's why I was strongly considering them. The Savegre doesn't seem to have the cracking issues that the Pintler have. Not that I can find anyways.
Another option is to wait it out and get Hutchinson beadlocks when the time is right...
Need some opinions on wheel and tire setup. I'm looking to go with a wider stance. Here are the options I'm considering:
1.Adding Spidertrax 1.25 inch wheel spacers all the way around. Keeping stock wheels and the 32 inch General I've got on there.
2.Getting 17 inch wheels with a better...
No, I'm not interested in losing the valuable storage space in the spare tire well. Right now I have my recovery kit and tools in there. I'm planning on having a second battery, Blue Sea fuse box at some point to run accessories from the trunk area.
