There is some build up of carbon in the EGR that can make it stick. I have a pretty clean used one. I'd just swap it out. The intake can get gunked up, too. I would take the spare to have it dunked and then swap it out.
BTW, the miles will be right around 213,700 at the end of this week. The...
2002 VW Jetta TDI, 215k, 5 spd (converted from auto at 160k), white/tan cloth, two-owner car; bought from the original owner. Sunroof. T-belts done at 100k and 200k--the first one by me and the second by Matt Phelan. Matt also did the 5-spd. conversion. As it is a converted automatic car, it...
I'd look for some characteristics in climate as causal factors. I live in Central California. It is a very moderate climate. Never very cold or hot. Rains in the winter. Otherwise very dry. I am beginning to wonder if a more extreme climate is a contributing factor. The bar on my 2003 FP is...
Mine is fine. However, I have a spare just in case... There is a mod to use the lid w/out the torsion bar. Again a search for FlipPac here would be very helpful to you.

Q1: I love my FP. It has some serious drawbacks, none of which diminish my enjoyment of it. There are several threads on possible improvements to the design. Those threads discuss the shortcomings. I'm sure you've searched FlipPac in this forum. Lots of guys offering very thoughtful insights to...
This is exactly why the FP is more appealing to me than the Wildernest or any other side- or rear-flip arrangement. It the truck fits in a space the tent will also fit, overhead, flip-over space permitting...

I have a pair of Aerostich Combat Lights, made by Sidi, I think. Size 45. Fits my size 11 foot well. I have a far bit of time in these boots, but I was never able to get them to break in. They have never been particularly comfortable for me.
There is very little wear except to the velcro on...
Well I have put 1,200 miles on my 276C since posting this question. I have my answer: the 276 is still an amazing unit. As I don't have Mapsourse, I could not tell which maps I had loaded on the unit. I could tell that they were from 2008, but that was it. Turns out I have all of CA and OR on...
It was not my intention to solicit offers. They are still selling well on ebay. So, I'd probably go there.
I know there are some GPS forums that can help with this stuff, but I cannot find them...
Don't know if I should dump it in the trash or sell it on eBay. I cannot get any maps to work on my beloved 276. I know there are some workarounds, but I cannot seem to figure them out...and I'm using a Mac. Any ideas?

Don't know what the Safari edition is, but this looks like an interesting rig or a complete scam. Not sure which. The $2,300 price tag suggests scam or high miles and problems...
