Hmmm... Rally Rover? Really? Ring any bells? Love it, but I don't remember it running in Dakar. If you know about this beast, do tell.
On CL in Modesto, CA. Not mine, etc., etc., etc.

Has anybody called or written to SD? They initiated the last group buy. My guess is they'd need to know there is interest in a second group buy.
BTW, I took advantage of the first one; love the product and appreciate their customer service. Very nice people.

Not it you want a good-fitting tent. I worked with a very good sailmaker to produce the FlipPac fly. It is a good-fitting product but a sailmaker or canvas shop does not build to the exacting standards of a tent manufacturer. Making a tent is also way more expensive than making a cover or a fly...
Agree that line speed should be a non-factor in the decision-making process. What you may lose in time b/c of slower line speed you can easily make up by working intelligently and efficiently. You'll waste more time screwing around with your gear and rigging the pull than you will b/c a winch is...
Mine, too. The lids has shifted about 1/4" to the left, as viewed from the rear. I first noticed the problem after leveling the truck while camping by driving one wheel onto to a rock. That led me to believe that the FP shell flexed some and could end up trained to be racked off to the right...
Keep your eyes peeled. One will surface. Bear in mind that not all 6.5" beds are created equal. Make sure you get one to fit your yota... I bought one I thought would fit my T100 (same bed as SB Tundra) and it was too long...so, I bought a different truck. Both truck and FP are for sale here on...
Which fly do you own? The SLO Sails fly has loops and 1" ladder buckles sewn into the hem. I use 1" webbing and cinch it under the lid and to the rear truck bumper.

I prefer the FP over the Wildernest b/c I'd does flip over the cab/hood. When camping in tight spaces you know if your truck will fit, you will be able to open the lid (if you don't have any overhanging branches). I often camp among coastal oaks and that makes a difference.
I agree that some...
The T100/Tundra bed is smaller than the domestic truck beds. Like you, I had a T100 and bought a FP that came off a fill-size Chevy short bed. The FP was a little too wide and a little too long for my T100. To solve the width problem, I shimmed the FP shell up with 3/4 x 3" wood slats. I felt...
They are commonly used windows. Most any truck cap store could get you one. I have replaced one from a local Leer dealer as they are not FlipPac specific.
Good luck,
Bill
I have a double bulb. It is stuck to the FP, not the truck.
I am in Los Angeles this week and next. Been too busy to measure or photograph my FP for you. Sorry. It really is much wider than the truck bed rail.

i think it is 7 inches on the sides; less in front. Too lazy to get off my ******** right now, walk the 25 feet to my garage, and measure the shell to verify. But, I have measured before and that's what i remember. i will measure again and post up... There's really no rush. Never know when FRP will...
That's a special little scoot. I had two. Loved them. Yours would be extra special with a blue plate... The 20 plates are pretty new. Did you move to Salinas from out of state?
