    Pop Top??? Owner install?

I'll try to measure it tomorrow. I'm just shy of 5'11" and fit fine but too much taller and you'd want to make a small bunk extender like I've seen on TheSamba.

Sure wish I could have joined you guys down there. Chris, that one shot really shows how much bigger your van is than the other lifted full sizers. Wowzers. Nice job with the meet up, guys.

    Pop Top??? Owner install?

It's been years since I actually measured, but I'm pretty sure that the Vanagon has 16" more length from the back of the front seats to the rear of the van than the Astro. That is a fairly substantial difference in a van the size of these. Look at it this way: the fabric for the pop top of...

    Holy Cow! GovLiq auction truck...

You'd think they'd atleast begin by only openning the auction to other gov. agencies so procurement budgets could be strecthed, but no.

    My Westfalia Syncro!

pics=good more pics= always better I've had this idea in the back of my mind to promote diversity thru a van run :sombrero:. The AstroLander, a Syncro, a lifted 4wd Yotavan, a couple modified Delicas

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

Sweet little rig. Luv it. How much lift do you have? While I have alwas liked the mid size and smaller vans, truth is, it was Yotavan Guru Roy Meyer's lifted white 4wd cargo van that pushed me over the edge and got me started researching vans for my ultimate shuttle rig.

Big THANK YOU to the Hollister Overland team!

Ha! Thanks for that. There's so much going on close to home; rides, overland trips, too much to choose from. Ended up going on a long dual sport ride with 16 local buddies. 8 Ibuprofen and a half day later, I starting to feel ok again. Maybe next year when Herbie gets his van together we'll...

    Earthroamer Factory Visit

With all due respect, when I read the title to this thread my first thoughts were "didn't they go bankrupt?". And it may be beating a dead horse for you, but it's new news to me. Then it becomes a question of do i get out of Expo and do an internet search for ER's bankruptcy or do I simply...

    How tall is your van?

Mine is 7'1" with the factory roof rack rails reinstalled into the pop top. Would be well under 7' without the top, but you know how it rains around here:ylsmoke: I'm at 4" lift in the rear, 3" in the front,on 30.75 MTs. Have one more setting on the lift kit shackles to still rasie the rear a...

Commerical overland camper situation in USA/Canada

The California Backroad Discovery Route, the Oregon Backroad Discovery Route, the Washington Backroad Discovery Route for starters. Combine them and you have a decent backcountry route basically from Mexico to Canada. The TAT, Owyhee, Baja, BC, Alaska, Copper Canyon, there's a lot of big...

need pic of RTT mtd high up on pick up

This is good information both ways, guys thanks. For Washington state the departure angle seems to always be important. On the particluar trail in discussion aove, the stock jeep (albeit Sahara Edition) was dragging it's gas tank all over the place like a dirty dog. While my lifted van did...
