    Adjustable angle tongue

In theory it's a great idea, but in the real world scenario where you need the feature, you won't be able to change the angle without first being able to move the trailer or tow vehicle. Also, the additonal turnign radius gained is less with the rotatable concept than it would be if you went...

    Pull-out Kitchen Thread

Yes, my understanding is that those are the ones. They list 72" as one of the options. I don't have any other info. This is the only place I have even been able to find them in 72", regardless of price. The longest I have seen elsewhere online have been 60".

    Pull-out Kitchen Thread

Got more info. They are called Ditto Sales. The slides come in a box of 5 pairs and will cost more than $135. Doesn't look like I can get just one pair, so I might order a box if there are other interested buyers out there. So, would the 3 others who posted a response for more info be interested...

    Pull-out Kitchen Thread

Found a place in Indiana that has 400# 72" slides for $135. That's a lot cheaper than I expected.

    Pull-out Kitchen Thread

I found a manufacturer who could make the 72" slide outs for me. Don't have a price yet though. These pics show the general idea using some scrap plywood I had laying around. This is about what it would look like fully deployed out of the rear tailgate. Fridge access is from the right...

    Pull-out Kitchen Thread

I had no idea so many other people were working on this concept. I just finished a scale model of my pull-out kitchen v2.0 and am now trying to work out a few design bugs. I have to build 1/3 scale models out of poster board since I don't have those fancy pants computer programs like some of...

    Trailer lift suspension question

Not yet. I have changed designs in my head lots of times. Don't have time to start the actual construction yet.

    Trailer lift suspension question

I will look into getting new springs. In the mean time, I took the two short leaves out and it tows very nicely now. Almost no feedback from the trailer and it's sits level now with the truck. Finally it no longer looks like such a monster trailer....

    Question about wiring/charging trailer battery

Just bought a new trickle charger called Battery Tender Plus. It says it's made to be used with AGM batteries. Also finished the trailer wiring. Brakes work great and I hooked up the charge wire with an ign powered relay. Trailers backup lights are powered when the vehicle is in reverse.

Warn M15000 winch on CL $600! (Ca)

I got an email back from those guys after a week or so. The email had some terrible grammar but basically what it said was "Sorry for misleading you to think that this item was available locally. Please visit our website to purchase." http://www.toolmaniax.com/category.php?id_category=19 I...

    The Perfect Brew........!

A reletively new trend has been blends of the California IPA and Belgian Trippel. They are truly amazing brews with extraordinary depth of flavor and complexity. Stone makes a nice one called Cali-Belgie that's very mellow for this style and would serve as a good introduction for the variety...

    Maggiolina Reflective winter hood

I own the winter hood but have never used it. The Maggiolinas are far warmer in the winter (and cooler in the summer) than a ground tent so we've never felt the need to use it. Granted, coldest temps we've slept in have been around freezing and we always sleep with sheets and blanket like at...

    Question about wiring/charging trailer battery

Toolman, HenryJ - Thanks for clearing that up for me. Also, I'll need to investigate the charger that came with my trailer - looks like a cheapie and may not be correct for the BlueTops.

    Question about wiring/charging trailer battery

If, on the other hand, Toolman is correct and I am wrong and an Optima is not a gel Cell, but rather is an AGM, then that's great because I should be able to link the batteries just fine. Hard to get good info, but I'll be very pleased to confirm that Optimas are in fact AGMs.

    Question about wiring/charging trailer battery

According to what I've read - that's incorrect. My understanding is that an Optima is a gel cell battery that uses a lead grid and the acid is suspended as a thick gel in the lead grid. An AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) uses some sort of fiberglass type weave that is saturated in acid. See below...

    I need a new stove

I like the three burner concept but I prefer to have my grill and stove seperate. 2 reasons: having the grill in the stove means the stove gets messy with drippings and needs to be cleaned more often. And, that compromised grill surface is neither big enough nor hot enough to do any proper...

    Question about wiring/charging trailer battery

For a while I was considering connecting the vehicle second battery to the two trailer batteries via #4 cable. This would effectively give the truck three aux batteries if the trailer is connected. Not necessarily a bad thing. But, the truck aux battery is an AGM and the trailer batteries are...
