So I'm going a different route...

Have fun with it. My neighbor has an '83 CJ7 he bought in '85 so we have had many fun years out there in our Jeeps.

Crossing the Cascade Mountains on the Historic Naches Wagon Trail

It looked like a great trip with fun people. I loved the Hula girl on the dash. I have my guard Zebra on the dash of my Mitsu Fuso.

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

Neither of my old Jeeps rattle much, but out on a trail ride outside of Moab, I had to tell the guy behind me that his CJ5 sounded like a freight train derailing through a junk yard. That evening he borrowed a few tools from me and tightened a few things up. Much better the next day.

TRIP OF LIFETIME, DOUSED BY ATTITUDE

I'm not the happiest person out there and at work I was known as the curmudgeon and I wasn't even the grumpiest guy there. His grand children used to tease him about taking him out Micky D's for a MC Grumpy meal. I can look back and smile at all of the crummy trips and all that went wrong. At...

I'm just waiting to see what you have come up with.

Something followed me home: 7 slot love

I'm not a fan of hood bumps on old flatteys so I hope you have a good plan.

SSF556 Build Up - 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD

It's all a part of the adventure guy, Somewhere I have a picture of my 3B sitting on a 3' high pile of rocks all cemented in place. (It was in my own yard). At least you weren't on your side. I wasn't either. Keep on going on

    Captain Texas Anvil JKU build

I went through my file cabinet and I have a file for everything I own except for the Harley I just sold. I don't know where those invoices went? Perhaps it's better if I don't know about what I spent on it.

    El Jeepe!

I have a friend that still has an old Crown Graphic like you would see in old movies that the press photogs were using, expensive to have anything develloped, large format film or plates. Hard to find the film anymore as well. I did all of my old shots in black and white as the resolution was...

TRIP OF LIFETIME, DOUSED BY ATTITUDE

Stress is something everybody has to deal with in their own way. Some take trips to relieve it. That last trip didn't work for you. As a kid I used to deal with it by mixing up some black powder and blow up the model cars I had carefully put together and now, I just go out and pick apart clay...

TRIP OF LIFETIME, DOUSED BY ATTITUDE

I suppose I'm a strange person but some of my best adventures have been winching others out of a situation. I admit that I have had to winch myself out a couple times but you figured out a solution to get yourself out. Good for you and I hope the smile is back.

    Fuso at Altitude

I never have had much of an issue with temps until I was going to Lake Powell and heading into about a 30 MPH head wind at about 112 degree heat, level ground. Mine will squack at me if it thinks the coolant temp is getting too high. It starts out as an eh eh eh and will build to a steady tone...

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

It really is the best grille ever put on a Gladiator/pickup type Jeep. Everybody seems to have pulled them off of anything they can find around here.

TRIP OF LIFETIME, DOUSED BY ATTITUDE

It seems a lot of us have an opinion about retirement and staying on your path as you go on. I suppose we all have our own path through life. My neighbors, some friends and my brother and sister in law have all retired in the last few years and as the joke goes they don't know how they got...

    Fuso at Altitude

It's been a few years since I weighed it but it was around 11,700 without a full load of water and food in it. What engine, transmission, gears do you have? Yeah, the hog back, Floyd hill, Georgetown hill, heading up towards the tunnel from either side is done a few gears lower and I just stay...

    Tour de Canada part deux

Yes, let's just say a prudent person would know to avoid some upgrade comments if the wife/partner can hear what is being said. Mike was talking to me on speaker mode and I am surprised she didn't make him walk home. They were still about 40 miles from here.

    Fuso at Altitude

I spoke of a loss of power at altitude in my Mitsu and my neighbor thought I was full of crap. The next time he drove across the mountains here in CO he felt that his manly Ford Powerstroke didn't have the same power either. OH? Temps have a lot to do with it. If I hit Vail pass when It's cool...

    Fuso special tools

It sort of reminds me of my old service manual for my MB Jeep. Simple way to check your alignment. A string and what else do you really need to get back home As long as nothing else is too bent up?

    Tour de Canada part deux

A friend called on his way back from Denver. His wife was driving as he had a few in him. I asked of the headlights were on as she drove us home one night without the headlights. She was the sober one. So the headlights were on but he had to say he wasn't sure about hers. I said that is probably...
