    1120 AF Build in Norway

My tanks are installed with a 2 degree slope and a drain in the bottom corner so everything can be drained out of the tanks. I've found the floor to be the most used area in the storage compartment while the top/ceiling of the compartment isn't used. Can the tank be lifted off the floor....or...

    1120 AF Build in Norway

My custom (120L) 10mm LDPE tanks were 10% more than my off the shelf (110L) 10mm PE roto mold tanks. The custom tanks had a 1 1/2" taper+ a cut out on the bottom so none of the parts where the same.

    1120 AF Build in Norway

Our back (glass) window gets layered with mud/dirt in the winter and off road. I need a ladder to clean it properly so it only gets hosed off. A hydronic towel rack for drying clothes works great and a blower set up with hoses works for boots......but.....make sure to have LOTS of venting (in...

The picture was a screen capture at 4:05 on their video. The workmanship is also visible at 4:08 on the spare tire mount. Years ago a buddy of mine worked at a place that did fast oil changes. He didn't last long because the practice was to save oil by putting the plug in before all of the...

2000 Super Duty CC SB 7.3: Alum-line flatbed and installation

The picture I posted is the equivalent a dentist advertising fillings done with bubble gum. It would be good to know what you would look for or do differently so others don't end up doing the same.

Did you ask for certification and/or specify how you wanted it installed? If you didn't the company didn't screw you over. One look at their welding is all one needs to know what kind of work they do.

There is no pretending. It's a production welding shop. They do each job as it comes in the door and make/take the absolute most they can from each job. The deck and install probably have 300% margin. Having people keep notes or trying to find info on a spreadsheet would reduce the margin.

With so many products and so many trucks they wouldn't bother figuring things out because keeping track of the info would be a full time job for a couple of people.

The practice these days is to charge the most people will pay and then flat rate the install. Hourly doesn't matter.

    Hitch Carrier?

I used 1/4" x 2 1/2 for the cross tube any bigger than that and it wouldn't fit behind the bumper.

    Hitch Carrier?

There's one ( 1/2" pin with cotter pin) for the front wheel also. Just not there at the time.

    Hitch Carrier?

Here's the front receiver/ carrier I made for a WR250R. I took a couple tries to fit the 2 1/2" receiver (also for a winch) crossbar behind the bumper. Ended up moving the bumper out 1/2".

The short side of my roof panels are fastened/hinged and there are support blocks at the center of the long side. I'm more worried about the panels delaminating vs. cracking. Our snow is wet/heavy. The snow is removed before it is + 400mm. The portable panels have fallen over several times...
