I wish off road type 4x4 vehicles were made with larger fuel tanks or extra fuel tanks. I think an extra tank is a safer way to carry more gas.
Jerry cans make it easier to fuel another vehicle if needed.

I like having a tailgate when camping and having the wide door opening means you can use the truck for hauling large items as well. Security and dust sealing will be a challenge though.

A lighter color on truck and camper/shell helps a lot. Tropical Land Rover Tropical Safari roof is the best solution. I painted the top part of my Jeep's black roof with Solar Flex roof paint (95% UV reflection). It mad a huge difference.
The shocks hang down almost as much as the diff and are between the diff and springs. On some vehicles the shocks are mounted closer to the tires and out of the way.
