The Lowe's Kobalt is one I found after I bought my harbor freight tongue box. I like the Kobalt one, pretty solid and secure and a great price. Weather stripping can water proof it...
If I could do it over I would buy the Kobalt, cut the feet off the bottom so it sits flat, rhino line the...
Winner winner chicken dinner. Took it in, they confirmed that black is a gamble and to paint it a lighter color. I think I will go with just a bright white and call it good.
I left the tank at the shop so they can test it, put on a new valve and gauge. I pick it up Friday and will repaint it...
Gotcha, I am taking it to a propane tank 'shop' tomorrow (Ferrell Gas) to get a new valve and gauge put on it and based off of the comments they will probably tell me the same thing about the color.
Probably going to have to repaint this then... More to come after I visit the propane tank dealer...
Ended up scratching the propane tank holder idea.
Found a 7 gallon horizontal tank on offerup. Sanded it, painted and set it up front.
This will give me 2 more gallons than I expected and looks better...

Finished bending and welding up the propane tank holder then hit it with Herculiner to match the tongue box on the front.
Now to wait for it to dry then bolt it up in front of the tongue box. The dimple-die'd holes will allow me to run a chain through the hole to the propane tank to secure it.

Haven't had time to knock out much lately.
Started on a propane tank holder this weekend. It will hold a standard bbq propane tank.
Using 16 gauge steel, broke out the dimple die set again.
Also picked up a Harbor Freight brake 36 inch with their 20% coupon. Pretty good brake for the price...
Thank you Bloomer..
I was able to get the tongue box mounted, switch panel made and put in place, and wires ran into the tongue box.
I then fired up the lights, they all work, Yes!
I also had the chance to mess around with the solar panel, seems to charge very well. I hung it in front of the...
I purchased the Cascadia Denali Summit Series roof top tent and installed it a few weeks ago.
Can the switch for the light & USB plug inside the tent be swapped to the opposite side of the tent.
The fabric seems pretty tight around the bar and it appears the only way to do it is disassemble the...
have you tried folding the annex and laying it across the top of the tent before the tent is folded and stored?
Or have you tried folding the tent, folding the annex and then laying the annex on top of the folded tent and then putting the travel cover on?
Reason I ask is I just installed my tent...
I pulled the trigger on these today at Pratt: https://platt.com/platt-electric-supply/Cord-Grips-Aluminum-Straight/Appleton/CG-3750/product.aspx?zpid=2492
They are aluminum, cinch up very tight on the wires and I was able to get them today. I put one on the main light wire and cinched it up. I...
I actually have that one installed in my tongue box for my solar panel. I used rivets, came out clean.
The wires I am connecting are for the lights on the rack and inside the trailer. I found these guys locally:

I have sent an email with some part #'s that may work to...
The other part about that is the grommet would pull out of the tongue box when I extend the rack, the pigtail would create enough force to rip it right out. I need something with clamping force..
Went to work on the tongue box and lights and have run into a slight snag.
I need to run 5 wires through the side of the tongue box and two wires through the side of the trailer wall to the tongue box.
I was going to drill a hole and use rubber grommets like on the firewall of cars but the ones...
I Had the chance to cycle the struts today and I lucked out, the tent went up with a couple of light pushes. When it was time to put the tent down I was able to use 1 ratchet strap and rocked it back down into locked/travel position.
I like the Cascadia Design Denali Summit Series tent, lots of...
Started out the weekend using a floor jack and ratchet strap to install each of the 120# gas struts, not fun but done, all 4 installed.
This got me over the hump so I mounted the Batwing and rooftop tent.
Cascadia Tents puts out a very nice product, the tent was easy to install. All the nuts...
Since my last update I was able to get an appointment at the state patrol office for an inspection and it passed.
They stamped the Vin # into the frame and then used pop rivets to attach a vin tag right below where they stamped the Vin into the frame.
I took their paperwork back to the licensing...
On my build my handbrake was 'frozen', I had to heat it to free it up and completely disassembled it then rebuilt it.
Like you, with my build my hand brake was not going to work in the original location.
I used threaded rod which you can get it in some pretty long lengths from auto and hardware...
