    Kamparoo electric water pump

You didn't mention how many gallons of water you carry but it seems that a lot of people are running out of water without realizing it when they are camping. Whether you have 19 or 32 gallons, you have to be careful with how you use it. We went electric pump and have looked back.

SoCal Tear Drop Owners! Post up!

There are a very large set of options that So-Cal doesn't list. I would consider searching the inter webs to find them or even better bug So-Cal to post more options. After my visit yesterday, I'm amazed at what this company can do.

I'm getting the marine panel upgrade with the upgraded flipper doors in the galley but I won't have mine until May. We wanted our caravan to be ready to go at will and this choice seemed to make the most sense. We are seeing our builder tomorrow to look at a 510 he is currently building for some...

We went over budget when we looked at this (: Since I'm 6' 6" and will be hitting my head on any awning choice, I'm not going with the awning but am going a totally different direction that I picked up from other trailer builds. We are seeing Mike at Wanderlust next week to look at a different...

    Off-road limitations of a 2" ball coupler?

You might live close to it but I took my Jumping Jack down Red Canyon Jeep trail and on two occasions I lifted my trailer wheel after locking the skirt of the hitch to the ball. Both were around a turn where my rig was going up and the trailer going down, both going through a wash. You could...

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

Here is a fairly recent pic of our Jumping jack at the Wedge. What a view! The trailer tows very well and is a great 2.5 season tent trailer, which is why we are getting a teardrop. We camp too often to let high winds, sleet, snow, sub zero temps and the like get in our way of enjoyment.

So, do you have your battery behind those lower drawers or up front in the tongue box? I'll be installing my Propex almost the same way. It should work really well coming from a R-1 tent.

We have a Road Shower which is either solar heated or you pour in a gallon or so of hot water and shower (it holds a total of 4.5 gallons). We end up squeaky clean and it has worked very well with us for four years so why reinvent the wheel. But going to sleep clean is the best. We also did a...

Mine is slated for May up at Wanderlust. I took me until yesterday to get my option list done. I'm not saying what I'm getting but I'm not getting the 120v ac system, the shower, any spare tire rack as I'm matching my tires and wheels.

Torn between travel trailer, popup or folding

First, to anyone who wants a pop up tent, I would recommend a Jumping Jack anytime. They are very tough and very durable. I have had mine for 5 years and was quite pleased with it. That being said, it is really more for setting up and leaving it in one place. When teaching in the backcountry was...

Torn between travel trailer, popup or folding

We are actually leaving our Jumping Jack for a teardrop for mostly the same rasons. 60 mph gusts of wind and three days of rain really take it out of a pop up. The ease of setup, I can tow it the same places and the heater can actually keep the place warm.

Beauty in Tow: Lightweight Camper Roundup

I would so much more enjoy modifying stuff once I have it rather than build it from scratch any day! Build a frame, find parts to some archaic axle, shape metal with special benders? nope... add, upgrade or fix something? You bet.

We'll be there looking at a similar trailer being built in mid January, so we can go over a bunch of stuff, including all the extras not listed. It will be a lot of fun. I'm already making stuff for the trailer too, solar, shower, picnic table and other things. We have inflatable kayaks (Sea...

Welcome to this forum! When are you getting yours? It's also cool that you going to be using this up in Canada. The biggest issue with our kayaking is getting back to our rig. Lately, we've been using some guide outfits to give us a ride back (doesn't always work though).

"SoCal will tell you the tanks are not for potable water." Really? With all of the materials they have for potable water, they choose one that isn't for drinking? That's the only reason I wanted the water tanks. edit to add: I just called and the tanks are for potable water. Hopefully one of...
