2020 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-X pop-up slide-in pickup camper (renamed "Back Country" as of 2023)

Been waiting for someone to do a thorough write up like this! It is much appreciated. I've had my eye on these for some time now, I only have two hangups: 1. Convincing the wife we need one (currently have a 99 hallmark ute). 2. The majority of our camping will be around home (Eastern...

    Sweet trailer.....

You would probably get $2500 if it had a new axle under it. I wouldn't pay close to that knowing I had to replace it straight out of the gate. Other than that looks like a well built trailer to me.

Request: pics/info of your 2009-2014 F150 Supercrew builds

That's always going to be 100% personal preference. If I could only choose between those to options, it would be super crew with 5.5 ft bed, the people that travel with me would thank me. I have a super crew with 6.5ft bed though, best option out there IMO.

Some traction for the front of an f150. Which would you pick?

If I was spending the money I would want a full blown locker, but that's just me.

Request: pics/info of your 2009-2014 F150 Supercrew builds

My buddy has a 2012 with 5.0 and 5.5 bed with 36 gallon tank. I also have a topper but will probably ditch it since I have a truck camper now. I, personally, would rather have a topper than rack. Keep things locked up safe and dry, can also be another place to sleep. I had spacers on a...

Request: pics/info of your 2009-2014 F150 Supercrew builds

2013 FX4 EcoBoost with Max tow package here. So far it’s been a good truck. Bilsteins on the front, 17s with 285/75s on them. Need to install the add a leaf and Bilsteins in the rear. Trucks rides great, pulls great, and will do a great job hauling this camper I am sure. Similar mileage to the...

    Square drop trailer coupler help

This is essentially exactly how I did mine as well. It was definitely more than needed for the trailer but nothing wrong with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Rigid HVAC Micro DC AirCon

I've never considered just cooling the bed, not a bad idea though.

    Rigid HVAC Micro DC AirCon

Agreed, it is a little lower than I would like. I emailed them with some questions and was actually told they are working on one that is a complete system with a 2900BTU cooling capacity, which I think would be plenty. Thankfully I am not and will not be camping in Death Valley, especially at...

    Rigid HVAC Micro DC AirCon

Has anyone used or installed on of these Rigid HVAC Micro DC AirCon (micro dc air conditioner)? https://www.rigidchill.com/micro-dc-aircon/# I'm purchasing an older Hallmark Ute, and a requirement for camping in Nebraska in the summer is AC. Rooftop air is out, don't care for the added height...

2019 Ranger with slide-in 7 pin connector lost blind spot detection.

Maybe disconnect the wires to the connector that are not being used by your camper?

2019 Ranger with slide-in 7 pin connector lost blind spot detection.

I'm sure that you could mess with the settings in Forscan to have it do what you want, but I'm not too familiar with it so I can't say for sure.

Mount “ditch spots” on tow hooks? / legality / clamps?

I like how the wire there just casually blends in to the truck.

********, I can imagine. I've done something similar (not for a camper build) but used a big CNC router.

    Van CAD Programs? Any Feedback

You can output dxf files with Fusion 360, among many other filetypes used by manufacturers/fab shops. If you know what you are doing, you can even use the FEA to determine what you need structurally. I cut a good amount of weight of my camper design by using FEA tools in Fusion.
