Have you considered an LR3. You can find some decent deals on them for roughly the same price as a good D2. The LR3 back seat folds flat where as the D1 and D2 do not. The Jaguar engine is also a lot more reliable than the old aluminum Buick V8 in the Discos.

I'm interested in the fenders. What is the length, front to back? And how do they attach? Are the welded on or bolt on?

Here's some photos showing both types of disconnects. The one with the beefy rubber bushing is the JKS version.

Regarding disconnecting sway bars, since you have fab skills, you ought to make your own with heim joints. I have a set from EE (made by JKS) but the bottom eyelet broke on both sides because the metal loop would hit the axle housing. I'm now running an old set I got from HiCountry Offroad 5...

I'm using a Southdown steering guard with an ARB bumper. I also installed a heavy duty drag link and tie rod for additional protection. Atlantic-British sells the Southdown steering guard as well as axle guard.

What area are you in? I might have some extra D2 fenders and front doors. I'm in the SoCal area.

Does the Pro-4x require and modification to the wheel arches to fit the 33" tires? Do you know if 35" will fit in the stock wheel opening?
