I removed the nipples so I won't have to keep cleaning them. The link below has pictures of what the nipples look like.

Spot uses the Globalstar network and 911 messages are monitored by an emergency response center which then contacts the appropriate SAR agency. PLB's on the other hand use the Cospas/Sarsat network which is monitored by SAR agencies. You can Google these networks for more details on the...
Here's a combo bottle jack/jack stand that has a "U" shape saddle and a height range up to 21". You can find them online for $35 plus shipping. For some reason the company that imports them is based in SoCal yet there are no local stores selling them...
You should give John Gjata a call. He's the US manager for BajaRack in Vista, CA. Both John and Sergio (the owner) were very responsive to all my requests when they built my D2 low-profile rack. I'm sure they'll take care of your issues. Below is John's contact info.

FYI, Amazon has that Midland 1001Z CB radio for $30.75 with free shipping, no sales tax. But if you can wait, Amazon seems to fluctuate the price depending on which way the wind blows, I got one last year for under $26.
Another nice low-end CB radio is the Uniden 510XL. The size is about the...
Is that the slider for the Engel 34 qt fridge? It's listed for $315 but I don't think it's designed for the Edgestar 43 qt.

Aluminum
For my D2, I went with aluminum because it's lighter and won't rust like steel. I got mine from Columbia Overland which uses the factory bolts. So if the Greg Davis rear bumper left those intact, it should work. It also comes in black for an additional $25. See link below for more...
I'm interested
I'm interested and I'm running 255/85-16 tires but when I input that tire size in the SCC calculator, it shows ZT835 and not ZT751 and the chain size. See link below.

You can get a "USB Video Capture" device and connect a wide-angle (110 to 170 degrees) backup camera via composite or S-Video.
You could use a USB webcam but you'll probably have to turn off "auto-flicker" if you use it outdoors. Otherwise the sunlight will wash out the image.
Wow, thanks for pointng that out! I just read the article in Backpacker magazine. It is indeed very sad. Things certainly has changed from when I was last there in 2001. Everyone I met was friendly. I even went house-to-house (okay trailer) with a lady in my group, looking for native...
First, using cell tower and/or WiFi for determining location is primarily for devices that do not have a GPS chip or when one is indoors. It is not accuracy. However, the footprint of a WiFi signal is smaller than that of a cell tower so WiFi will be more accurate.
