Help, GPS System needed, recommendations and expertise appreciated

GpsFileDepot.com has the info on how to install MapSource for free if your Nuvi did not come with it. I have a Nuvi 265WT and installed the topo maps for AZ, CA. CO, NV, NM, UT, WA ansd WY. It took close to 2GB of stoarge so make sure to get a microSD card if you want to load a lot of maps. I...

Impact absorbing vs. non-impact absorbing bumper mounts?

Thanks, I'll check with ARB if the 03-04 crush cans will fit. I rear-ended a Subaru Outback that was stopped at a red light. I slammed on the brakes but not in time to avoid an impact. I also didn't have a camera or cellphone with me to take any pictures. The embarrassing part is it looked...

New roof racks for Discovery I & II from Bajarack

New rack design looks nice! Hey Sergio, The new rack looks nice. The cut-outs for the roof rails is a great idea. I've been getting a lot of use from my Baja Rack. It's definitely light and strong, no need for additional flooring material. Attached are a few pictures showing the rack in...

Impact absorbing vs. non-impact absorbing bumper mounts?

Thanks for the link but I do have a weld bead on the backside of the crush cans. And from my recent experience, the concern about ARB bumpers "rolling up" is valid. Seeing that Rovertym, HiCountry and Bottorf attach directly to the frame, I'll probably do the same.

Impact absorbing vs. non-impact absorbing bumper mounts?

I have an ARB front bumper on my D2 and recently had a minor front-end collision, no airbags deployed. However, the impact forced the front of the bumper down and pushed the side wings up and damaged the fenders. ARB uses an impact absorbing bracket to attach the bumper to the frame. It's...

Gauging interest in a Dual Battery Tray for DII's?

I would be interested if it could be designed to fit two PC2150 size batteries. I'm currently running a single Sear Diehard Platinum group type 31 which is the same size as the Odyssey PC2150 and I'd like to stick with this size since it has a higher capacity than the group type 34. Also would...

    New Disco II Rack

The rack looks nice but I'm wondering why the front part of the rack is empty? There's no floor or support bars. Is there a reason for this?

    Americas 2011 expedition - Need help/advice/opinion

Regarding the "air jack", you might also want to consider the Titan Air Jack. See links below. http://www.airjackusa.com/ http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10029912-1.html Another option is a combination "bottle jack/jack stand" as shown in the links below...

Group Buy - Staun Tyre Deflator SVC5 6-30 psi Range - CLOSED

No, no, although I like the Stauns, I already have a set of Smittybilt deflators. I was just pointing out why buy 10 @59 when it's cheaper to buy 11 @52 and divide the cost over 10 people. The price then is $57 per person. Oh and then you can send me the 11th. Hahaha. :bike_rider:

Anybody looking for a great camping table?

I agree! I got one earlier this year at Sam's Club for around $24. The 4ft table folds in half into a flat and compact 2'X2' square. The size makes it easy to stow flat on the floor horizontally or flush against the side vertically. The table is very sturdy and quick to set up and pack up...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

I've seen this D2 and actually there is not too much plastic on it other than the stock fender flares, side mirrors, door strips, rear bumper and perhaps the lens cover on the PIAA lights. The rock sliders, QT diff guard, Safety Devices roof rack and ARB front bumper are steel. And the limb...
