Hey how did you get it for $213?!! I checked online, the Group 31 is on sale $247.49. And with the additional $10 (SAVENOW) discount, the price is $237.49 which is not bad but $213 is even better!!
So is the price cheaper in Massachusetts or what?!!
The asking price is not out of line...

How about a Pelican Stormcase im2400. I have a brand new one, still in the box. It's yellow, no foam. I'm also in SoCal and can pick up locally.

Below is a picture of the ladder from reply #49 in this thread. From what I understand, no holes need to be drilled to install. The list price is $250. AT as well as Columbia Overland are dealers.

Onyx laptop mount
I'm using an Onyx mount with a netbook in my Disco2. The Onyx mount installs in the Disco2 without and cutting or drilling required. There's also an adjustable tray that might fit an iPad. Eventually I'll switch to an iPad or an Android tablet.

The "squared off" teadrop looks nice. After spending time in RVs and trailers, I've been thinking about ditching the tent and getting something with hard walls. Maybe I'll go this route too. Anyway, the video below might give you ideas of features to incorporate into your teardrop...
I used this guy in E.LA
He does MIG, TIG, Arc, and can weld aluminum. I recently had him build some custom brackets for my ARB bumper.
