Likewise, I just bought the biggest baddest battery I could find and haven't looked back. Pretty happy and saved a ton of grief and money

Danner Mountain Light II - An on-going review

The outsoles have held up great, I have only had mine for 8 months, although used quite a bit. I only use these for hiking so they spend most of their time on dirt which is a lot easier on them than pavement/concrete. I liked the plastic heel cups, but I think in then end i ordered mine a half...

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

One of our work trucks just got a brand new set of these: BFG Commercial Traction TA Tires (265/75R16). Unfortunately I hardly drive this truck so I wont get much use on them but they look a lot nicer in person. I have looked at them online a few times when browing tires but never thought they...

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

Those do look pretty nice! I ended up with a set of Rigid Dually LED lights for the front, although they aren't true fog lights I wanted them for extra vision at night on country roads

A Week in the Heart of the Appalachian Mountains: West Virginia & Pennsylvania

Yes, it was a nice mix of technical and scenic actually (often both combined!) The first day is the most technical if my memory serves. The last bit is forest roads but still great places to explore once you get down towards Cass and the scenic railroad etc. Its a pretty good push to finish...

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

I just hope I can find three of the old design in a year. It kooks like BFG isn't even making the KO2 in 235 85R16 yet so I should be okay. I would love to try the Cooper Discoverer AT3 but I can't justify when I have a brand new tire sitting in my garage.

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

I didn't, though the gaskets come in a two pack, and are identical. I replaced the passenger side, the driver side is more difficult to get to as you have to remove the plenum. I was going to change the driver side while I was at it, but my father in kae said "if it ain't broke don't fix it"...

Truck up on the lift Not hard to tell it was leaking..... Need to stay hydrated while working. The gasket had broken In half when I got the cover off. The rubber had been plasticized and was very brittle, it snapped when I tried to remove it. The new gasket went in easily...

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

Valve Cover Gasket swapped out and engine put back together. I hope that solves the issue, guess I will see in the morning. I don't know where it could have been leaking from ??? The old gasket was hard as plastic and very brittle. I have a few more pics, will post later this weekend.
