I have had the Wildpeak ATs for about 12K miles on them and I am very happy. My last tires were super swampers so of course the WPs ride nicer. I live in a rural area and drive on dirt roads daily. The WPs grip much better on dirt roads then the Super Swampers did.
They wild peaks drive...
Been using a MV50 for over a decade. Small, as fast as other ones its size unless you really pay $$$. I am in a Wrangler so space is at a premium. Most of the time airing up people are BSing and nobody is working that fast anyway. If you have space get a A/C powered one and an inverter. The...
I have used a Currie tire deflator (samething as and ARB deflator) and it works fine. But it is a hassle. I have seen or used about every deflator or method out there. For me the simplest and fastest is just a valve stem remover. I have never lost a valve stem but I carry extras just in case.
Not the same thing.
Budget comes before the build, it is the money part of the plan. The better and more thorough your plan the better your budget can be. You can go over budget, you can come in under budget. Budget for a period of time and or for a certain thing.
They are keeping track...
Time to update.
Is there a stereo/amp setup I can run off my smart phone without the need of a head unit?
I have my navigation, FM chip, Pandora, downloaded music... all in my little smart phone, do I really need a head unit any more.
I am in a TJ, I have an old school stereo. Big amp taking...
Trophy hunting can be part of a good conservation plan if your goal is to increase numbers. Your Trophy animals will be you larger animals often older and are not able to breed as often as younger animals. Older larger non breeding animals suck up resources and the larger males can fight off...
I see allot of the JKs and JKUs with hard tops and more TJs and YJs with soft tops. Not sure if they are being setup more than when purchased or if new Jeep people want a quieter ride?
I run with a soft top (up and down) and steel doors when I am out on an "adventure". Often I will have the rear windows out and the top comes down. Even then I want doors. I usually travel in thicker overgrown woods with lots of things that will snap back at you and many of the have thorns...
Properly maintained the military Scepter tanks will not leak fumes of liquids. If they do leak from the seals it is because they are damaged or need new seals. Most that come from the Military are for diesel. Most of use unleaded and we ruin the seals. If you misuse anything it will wear out...
We had a small camper like that but wanted more room as our boys grew. We wanted to stay light. We ended up with a 16 foot hybrid. Two full size beds fold out, one at the front and at the back. This frees up allot of space in the middle of camper with the beds folded out.
I get to travel...
I have a question about newer car "power ports" vs older car cigarette lighters? Can "power ports" handle the draw of a 12V pump/compressor like the older car cigarette lighters?
You have to know what works for you. I have never had issues with tires on my Jeep. I always ran more aggressive tires designed with strong side walls until now I am running an AT. It supposedly it has a reinforce sidewall.
You do realize that for the most parg ply ( 8 ply 10 ply) is an...
I have seen a few flats on the trail and on the road. Other than an occasional nail or similar puncture damage most I have seen couldn't be fixed with plugs. Much of the damage to tires I have seen damaged on the trail are side wall damage.
I do agree with you that some flats could be avoided...
Looks like it might flex a lot and snap, bend or hit you vehicle. I have seen "beefier" mounts than that not hold up to the abuse of driving on less than wonderful roads.
I do like the swing down. I worked with someone who became disabled enough to were he could not lift up and down his spare...
