ATs should not get slippery on wet roads. ATs should be decent on all terrian. I have even had MTs that did great on rain covered and winter roads, my TrXus MTs. Other then wearing fast They were great tires but probably more aggressive then the OP wants.
My Flaken ATs are very good winter /...
I like my old school GPS and compass because they are more durable and can take a beating more so then a tablet but Technology is cool, it works and it makes life simple so I got a tablet but it was too big. Now I use a smart phone I got on a black Friday sale. It is GPS combatable (reads...
I was skeptical of battery operated tools for anything heavy until I got a bigger dewalt impact and the some electric Hurst Jaws of Life at work. I am not skeptical anymore.
I like bags. I don't live out of my Jeep. I like to take my bags and but the ones I need in my tent. The ones I need for cooking where I cook. I don't want to have to run back to the jeep every time I need something. Another issue is weight, drawers are heavier than bags.
If I had...
I have been happy with my wildpeaks. I had looked into BFGs in the past and found them to be overpriced and mixed reviews. Years ago I would see more BFGS on the trail then. I do run a BFG MT as a spare, 33x9.5. It' lack of sidewall makes it light and won'I stress the tailgate on my Jeep...
This is how I always saw it but in the 1:1 If you run it back to the jeep it becomes 2:1. The tree pulley is change of direction and the winch on the The winch becomes a pulley carrying the load. This what has hard for me to see.
The problem I had was counting lines and the power coming from an external force. With the power inside, like a winch, it becomes a pulley, its line is part of the pulling force and a multiplier.
the problem we may run into increasing mechanical advantage is if we have to pull the cable longer we're going to have to run our vehicles longer so we don't kill our batteries. The extra exhaust will accelerate global warming.
If I were 10 feet from a tree and I ran a cable to a tree with a pulley and back to the jeep I would have 10 feet of cable to the tree and 10 feet back to the jeep. If i pulled my Jeep 5 feet forward I would have five feet of cable to the tree and five foot of cable from the tree to the jeep...
Here they make it simple you count the number of rows of what you are lifting or in our case moving. You do not count the fixed line or in our case the anchor

The length of the cable does not change regardless of where you measure the cable. if you started a 30-foot cable you'll end with a 30-foot cable. If It Moves one foot over a pulley on one side it'll move one foot over the pulley on the other side the relationship or the where you gain...
We can't ignore this, its correct. This is where we starts. The key to Mechanical advantages of having a pulley moving within the system in the direction of the load. Once people understand this we can move further.
