I decided to build my own Pop Top camper

Sorry to the OP to hijack this awesome thread, but I have a question that may or may not be relevant. I have recently replaced a traditional truck shell with a Flippac. The shell had clamps that were installed by the dealer and now I have installed the Flippac with through bolts into the bed...

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

Upon closer inspection, I see the drain setup better. I’m sure it’s all sorted just fine, but still makes me nervous and you’re right about that cabinet on the right side of the pics.

Henness Pass (NV / CA)...3 hours digging

We just called our trailer “the boat anchor”. It definitely changes your perspective on mud, sand, snow, etc. We became more accustomed to turning around and changing our plans on the fly. We ended up rigging our trailer with a Chinese diesel heater after only a single trip with the Mr. Heater...

    Unibody style frame?

Apache Eagle trailers had an “X brace” that was made from formed sheet metal - this part was the only frame-like object in their whole build. The tongue and leaf springs were attached to the bottom of the X. 3/4” plywood was attached to the top of the X. The trailer’s tub/body was attached to...

Dealing with shipping damage...Go Fast Superlite

Does Old Dominion ship everything for GFC? Is it possible GFC asked Old Dominion to design the packaging to accommodate their own sipping conditions and this is why GFC is pushing all the claims to Old Dominion? Just a theory... I think GFC has done something really innovative and jump started...

I decided to build my own Pop Top camper

Awesome. I love this. I also can’t weld, but have considered something similar from pultruded fiberglass tubes and sheet... it’s been in my brain for years, but never had the cajones... My hat is off to you!

    Iceco JP40 or VL45?

Just an FYI for anyone looking at IceCo right now, codes BFCM and HOBOTECH seem to be working for everything I’ve tried this week... haven’t pulled the trigger yet though, I can’t decide on size or form factor.
