Sealants: butyl tape, dicor, sikaflex, etc. - plugging holes

Check product compatibility. The maufucture of my buddies trailer use the same caulking to seal the windows/door/edge of the roof. The caulking around the edge of the EPDM rood hardend and cracked in 15 months. Butyl tape (1,2,3 layer) makes a fast long lasting gasket but it creeps so it is...

Can we get a separate "E-bike/Moped" forum?

Would a sepation/name along the linse of Class 1,2,3. Many public agencies are looking at seperation along the line of Class/Level 1 and "others". Our parks here (BC Canada) only allow Level 1. https://www.nps.gov/subjects/biking/e-bikes.htm...

Ultimate F550 ArcLab / Total Composites camper for sale US$475.000

Once I saw the pictures of the inside I knew why the price is what it is. The design/detail work Arc Lab has done is excellent. They could have followed through on the electrical but that's an easy fix.

When did mountain biking become so specialized!

Choosing a bike is harder than choosing an overland vehicle.

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

What's the % of solar panel loss from heat going to be or the temp coefficient of the panels?

    Total Composites full introduction!

Very nice. Good detailing on the baffle venting. Like the black filler rod!

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

From the Panasonic HIT install manual: Clearance between the roof surface and module frame is required to allow cooling air to circulate around the back of the module. This also allows any condensation or moisture to dissipate. The required clearance between the roof...

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

The supplier of my panels said the back will reach 150F and I've read of it reaching 175F. Do you want that heat being pushed though the roof?

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

Up here in BC charcoal can be used in outdoor stoves during a fire ban. A portable (has to be UL/CSA) campfire can only burn liquid or gaseous fuel and the flame cannot more than 6" high. The UL/CSA units are more for looks than heat. For ours we have large pcs of lava that pile 12" high to...

    pivoting frames and mounting campers

I've seen lots of rubber/neoprene fail. The material does not have a good cycle life. Happens allot with suspension components from a company called Moryde International. Their components have to be inspected yearly.

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

Still call it a draw:) AC mini split loads is not going to be 2000W and you're assuming no solar input while charging batteries. .....plus the 4x compartment space needed would be more useful as fuel / water/ storage.

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

I didn't think being able to dump 2000W into Lithium. The most I've seen our 900Ah FLA bulk charge is 90A. The noise is probably a draw since the EU300 has more Db at lower RPM.

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

    I have a EU3000 that I stopped using 3 years ago after I picked up a H2000. If I ever need more power I'd buy a H2000 Companion.

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

I've use to have a bunch of the Master Puck locks but the key (very thin/weak) and all brass cylinders are junk. When keys broke off inside it would take about 2 min to drill the cylinder, knock the pins out and rotate the bolt. I switched over to Cobra Universal-Puck locks

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

A mini split hardly makes any noise. Roof mounted RV AC/Heat pumps are louder inside than the generator and the noise outside travels further since units are higher. We've been at places that said our roof top AC can only be run during generator hours.

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

We've had the privilege of staying too (400') close to people with Onans. I'll take a Honda any day. When our H2000 is running outside we have to stop making noise inside to listen for it running. No problem sleeping when it is running I'd look for a Fisher $$$ Panda if I wanted to an...

2200 watts of solar on the roof?

Our 2600W has been great in winter Nov. to Feb. (tilted) and in the forest (portable) but if you won't be doing much of either I'd maximized the panels for one controller and leave room to add a 2nd controller&panels. As per deadlocks start with min 200Ah but leave room to expand the bank...
