Axle, diff & locker input needed

Not sure if you are referring to the original question or Keith's sig line :) but I am asking this question too... here in California I can only import a petrol 1983 110 which limits what I can do - no diesel engine. A 109 will allow a diesel engine. Then comes the 110 coil vs. the 109 leaf...

    Best Land Rover Mod... Ever.

I run the 3" RTE springs and love the way my truck handles - loaded and unloaded. I will never run OME again but that is my personal preference. I'm glad you were able to find a cheap solution to your problem.:snorkel:

Excellent points Dave. I gave up on following this thread after seeing it was full of off-topic comments and opinions until I saw you were the last poster when I clicked on "New Posts".

    DII overland prep

I have beat the crap out of my DI to hell and back. She left me stranded only twice - fuel pump and broken belt tensioner - but this was after over 150K miles, hard miles too. With a few spare parts, I would have not hesitated to take her to SA. Yeah, LR had - still has - an issue with...

    Range Rover?

I drive a 1994 RRC LWB and love the truck. I find the 4.2 to be just enough power to do what it needs to do as a DD and as a trail rig. Going camping/offroading this weekend, will take some pics and post them up!:rally_guys:

    Cat replacement

www.completeexhaust.com and have a local shop throw them in... no need for a high flow cat unless you have done EXTENSIVE aftermarket performance mods - which I doubt you have since the aluminum block can't handle the additional heat. A high flow cat does not create the necessary back pressure...

OK, I missed the mileage in the original post... having noticed it now, I would still say replace the head gaskets and u-joints before you go. If you changed the oil regularly, I would not even worry about 105K miles on the engine. Rovers have a tendency to build up sludge with irregular oil...

    DII overland prep

Oh, and how many miles on your DII? If it is anywhere near 90K or over, replace the head gaskets before your trip. What about the front drive shaft? Stock shafts are not greasable. Get it rebuilt with greasable u-joints before it "blows up" and takes out your TC and tranny with it! It would...

As to the poor quality of fuel available, take along some gas additives to add to every tank you fill up. Take along a funnel with a screen to keep anything from getting into the gas tank when you fuel up. Take along some fuel filters in your spare parts bin. Seems like you have some...

    Best single battery?

Andrew - got any measurements on it? It has to fit in my rangie. As for cost, I do not want the most expensive battery out there. I just want the one that will work best (or close to best) for my current application.:1888fbbd:

    Best single battery?

After searching this section and not finding exactly what I was looking for, I am starting a new thread. I need a good battery to use for my truck. The only auxiliary item I will be running is an ARB MT45 fridge. I eventually plan on upgrading to a dual battery system but not until later this...
