Thanks again guys. This was so much fun. There's a little bit more to come...still have some digging to do! Lol.

They did okay. I haven't noticed any chunking but they packed up a little. You can see that in a couple pics. The highway performance is excellent. I had Goodyear MTRs on it before and those were awesome off-road. On the road was awesomely loud as they wore down.

The entrance to the climb out of the canyon looked way easier until I actually got the van to it. LOL. Second attempt... This next segment was going to be the hardest. I wasn't sure if I should crawl it or throttle it. I decided to crawl it. Crawling didn't work. I slid...

Sorry it's taking me so long...just pulled over for the night in a gnarly Nebraska snow storm. I've gone 5,861 miles in 7 days (at 57 mph average!) Long days. I gotta admit, cruiseroutfit took some wind out of my sails! I honestly didn't think anybody had been through here in months. At the...

That's cool! That section must flood a lot. I didn't see tracks from 2 weeks prior (where they winched was not possible when we went through), and the group that went after us didn't see our tracks!

Day 6 November 1st We needed to get an early start to make up for all the time spent at the river. I don't think I could get tired of the morning sun against these mountains and buttes (but we left a little early for that). Immediately after leaving camp, we hit this. It wasn't bad or...

Very true! My friend's dad once told me, "Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted!" I'm pretty experienced. I'll post a few more pics but I've got 300 miles to go tonight. The gnarly stuff is coming.

Utah in the fall 2015 - 9 days, 475 off-road miles, and 14 hours of digging! (PICS!)

It was a long day...we did 21 miles in 11 hours! We found a flat spot to camp on with a nice stone fireplace. We were still fist-pumping each other!

When I first saw that river, I knew the smartest thing to do was turn around. I was super pissed and felt like a failure for not getting my winch mounted before the trip. Kristal tried to wade out into it and see how deep it was, but she sunk in the mud and almost fell over. She also said it was...

She had a pack on and she was pretty hot for a homeless girl.

Thanks again guys! I just pulled over for lunch...I'll try to post up some more pics.

Somewhere along the trail we saw this chick walking...by herself. Remember, I was still expecting to see kids partying at the river. I started to think maybe they were coming in from the other side of the river and that's why there weren't tracks. I just figured she got pissed at her boyfriend...

Utah in the fall 2015 - 9 days, 475 off-road miles, and 14 hours of digging! (PICS!)

Continuing on... Tightening up a little. Literally between a rock and a hard spot (trees), I was forced to swing out around the trees. The only problem was that put me right on the edge of a 6 foot drop off. I tried to save the paint and almost ended up rolling the van off the...

I would NOT want to be anywhere near here in a flash flood. Look closely at the washed up debris in the tree behind Kristal.

Day 5 October 31st Since it was a Friday night, Halloween weekend, and we weren't far from a town, I decided to camp pretty far off the trail up this wash. Even though we were told nobody had been up this trail in months, I figured the cooler kids would be partying at the river crossing and I...

Still day 4! Unfortunately, Dennis and Kyle needed to get headed back home before we reached Hanksville. We unloaded his spares out of my trailer, said our goodbyes, and split up. They stopped at a few places on their way back to the tow rig at Lone Rock. It was great traveling and talking with...

I forgot the come-along. I'm not sure it would've been any help with this rig, but it was dumb to not have one. You don't need no stinkin' route info, you're coming on the next trip!

I was thinking the same thing...and I'm a California city boy! He did say it gets bad after some traffic and sunshine turn it to ice. It was perfect for us though. Going against advice became the theme for this trip!
