Yeah that was me. Never got round to making the guide you made up due to buying a series 1 80” to fix up and use for off road fun. So when I saw that was released I went for it.

I got mine from my front runner supplier. Maverick4x4, but they are UK based. Cost me £139 inc shipping, he even threw in one of the FR powder coating spray cans for free for me. Fitting is as the link suggests. Makes a MASSIVE difference to noise levels on the motorway. No more wind noise etc...

Got the new Front Runner wind fairing for the D3. Arrived Wednesday but work held up fitting. Good bit of kit, have a 70 mile drive tonight so will be interesting to see how much of a difference to noise levels it makes.

Have 2 kits coming across the pond for the centre and rear blocks. Struggled to find anything here for the blocks and the £72 cost is way cheaper than the £127 for rear and £160 for centre blocks. Shall get rebuilding them when they arrive.

Nice write up Eric. I changed the front block a few years ago but i have it in the garage. I may strip it down to see how it goes as my centre block could do with a rebuild. Back rises then front comes up in it's own time. It's 14 years old now so a clean out and freshen up won't harm it.

Not everyone is comfortable working on cars. Some want a nice ready to go car and are happy to pay for that.

That cars had some serious work to it. Now get the underside treated to preserve it. I do love a clean unmolested D1. Such a simple design to it. For this car, personally the “less of more” approach is how I would go.

While I can imagine it would get boring and/or annoying after a while. I would love that amount of snow. We haven't had decent snow here since 2010 and I miss it.
