Could the ARB jack be placed under an axle? I have revolvers on the rear and it flexes like crazy so I need to lift the axle instead of just the body/frame.
I haven't heard a bad thing about them. At least nothing significant. The engine will pull the daylights out of just about anything you put behind it. Tons of power. Enough for a fifth-wheel trailer.
Looks good. I have a similar design drawn. Just need to build the danged thing.
Word of warning, don't know about your state but in Texas it is now illegal to have the air tank built into the bumper. Might want to check to be sure. The reasoning is to prevent further problems should you be...
Good article. Made my conference period much more relaxing - otherwise I'd be grading papers.
I didn't realize there were ANY movements in Mexico for conservation. I learned quite a bit.
I've wheeled recently with a 2006 and it was a very nice rig. I question, though, Nissan's mentality of "lowering" the height. Even my 2000 2wd sat higher than the 20006 4wd. Ground clearance may have been similar but it sure seems to sit probably six to seven inches higher.
I plan on building a custom storage unit for the bed of Stormy. It'll just be between the fenderwells. I'm planning on two small bins towards the rear(close to the tailgate) and one larger one at the front of the bed(by the cab). Hinged and lockable are really not options. Gas struts to lift...
Okay have a moment in class...
Love the Softtopper. The installation is so easy it barely needs instructions. Quality is great, price is MUCH cheaper than the Can-Back(if they're still operating which I heard they weren't), and I LOVE the fact that I can roll up the sides and rear. It is...
I'd planned on doing an in-depth reply this evening but Mommy had school function and so Daddy had the baby. I'll try and reply about the Softtopper in them morning.
Let's just say I'm EXTREMELY happy with it!
I plan on doing a write-up on it very soon. Keep an eye open for it.
Thank you very much and special thanks to Eric for doing such a great job on the write-up.
I've learned that sometimes sitting and thinking things through three or four times can save some $$$ in the future. It's all about planning. Now just need to get out and hit the trails more often.
Yeah if you're serious enough it might be wise to save money on a lift and have fun with what you have for a while then sometime down the road do the SAS. Suspension and steering-wise I have almost $1500 already invested. So save it and do it right later.
Welcome to the group! If you need any locations to pickup equipment specifically for Nissan's let me know and I'll do my best pointing you in the right direction.
