    SNAPSHOT: Lockhart Basin Rd

We did that road around 5 years ago, Indian Creek around through Moab and back to our campsite. It took over 15 hours. The 3 Jeeps had no problems really but the F350 crew cab long bed had a problem in some of the corners.

    Anasazi Adventure in SE Utah

Good work finding the ruins there in Sheiks flat. We have watched many sunsets from there. Perhaps a beer or 2 as well. We left all of the corncobs there as we should have done. There is some Teepee rings on the ridge above if you get out that way. About 25 years ago my brother and wife...

19 days in a Jeep.... Colorado, Utah and a little of Arizona

It's been a couple of years. I did hit my rear springs on one of the ledges. Another friend with a CJ7 hit his gas tank skid plate on the same ledge. The 3rd guy in his CJ5 with Elockers front and rear got stuck somehow as did the JKUR following him. Must have been their Bourbon and beer.

19 days in a Jeep.... Colorado, Utah and a little of Arizona

Moab is a fun place to visit. We've been going there for over 30 years. Usually in June and again for Thanksgiving. Eddie McStiffs is a good place to eat and as well is the Moab Brewery. If you are into golf, the course (or at least 1/2 of it) is fun, lots of vertical stuff. The loop down from...

Robinson Fuso rides again - prep for Spring 2015

Convex mirrors work well. Some friends had a property up in the hills and unfortunatly the driveway was at something like a 45 deg to the main road. Cant see anything out of the window or mirror so set the Ebrake and halfway crawl over to the pass side to see whats going on. One time I looked...

    wanted fuso side fuel tank

Try Northern Tool and Equipment. I got a 50 gal tank from them. I still have the stock 33 gal. tank but I'd imagine shipping would be a killer.

Robinson Fuso rides again - prep for Spring 2015

Lane changes, what are those? I consider a trip to be good if I actually pass a slower moving vehicle in my '92 FG.

    Would this be worth buying?

I'm surprised the AC isn't sitting on the floor by now, the roof is shot.

    SheepnJeep's CJ-3A Thread

A few years ago I was helping a neighbor pull a tree stump out of his yard with my winch. Darn near pulled the rear bumper and crossmember out before I stopped. If you take your time in winching and rechargeing cycles, you should do fine with a generator but in the long run, you will end up with...

how heavily is is jeep modified? how much do you have into it?

Sheepnjeep, You can't forget the amount of time spent in labor to deal with the parts and getting them wherever you need to ship them from. I did that with older Volvo parts years ago. Still have a few parts around here. Still trying to find out what to do with the 472 Caddy motor. I know my 3B...

4 day Spring break trip to Canyonlands

Been going to that area for about 30 years. Spend a day on the trails, get back to camp and rip the top off of a frosty one.

    SheepnJeep's CJ-3A Thread

Your 3A will probably still have an ampmeter so some have said that you don't want to put too big of an alternator in. Sort of an issue about burning up wires behind the dash. Both the Motorola and Delco alternators work fine (I have rebuilt both) and I've never done any long pulls with the...

how heavily is is jeep modified? how much do you have into it?

Oh, my. I have 3 Jeeps here, 2 3B's and a Commando. Three winches, OD, V6's etc and I don't think I have $8,000 invested in the lot. I suppose I just prefer the old Jeeps. You people do what you want.

    Willys CJ3a Build!

Good to see another flattie owner on here. Having a V6 and 5:38 gears, an OD works quite well for me. I know for years I have been reading about removing the interlock on the twin sticks. I've broken an axle shaft and destroyed a Powerlock unit in 2WD. I prefer to run in 4X4. Just a bit easier...

Both of my Konig winches are PTO driven so seeing the gear case on the pass. side cofuses me untill I remember it's electric. My Belview M 6000 has the case on the pass. side too. That I am used to.

Just me and the dogs on the roads of NM and CO

Dogs like road trips, usually. Early '70's my parents had a Dachshund and I had a Black Lab. So off I went to college. My mother complained all of the time about how much of her time was spent letting dogs in and out of the house and cleaning the carpet. It took several weeks for me to be able...

Is there any expedition willys out there?

Both of my 3B's have the wipers mounted under the windshield. A lot of people that are into flat fenders like the 3B due to the extra room under the hood if you are doing an engine conversion, also gives some room to fit extra things in. If you can, check out "Duffers" CJ3B on either the CJ2A...
