    "Readily available" tire size question

"Readily available" is probably regional thing. 235x75x16" and 285x75x16" size tires are probably easier to find than some exotic 20" low profile tires when in rural areas.

Lockers for gravel / washboard (corrugations) experiences???

"freedom of choice" is the key with lockers It is nice to control the locker yourself. Sometimes on ice/snow it is nice to run unlocked.

    lift/leveling kits

What type of rig do you have? IFS front end? A leveling kit may just be spacers "hocky pucks" under the front coils. Some vehicles have the nose down rake so that when loaded the vehicle sits level.

Are there any other 2WD overlanders here?

Bring a highlift jack and a shovel and use common sense. I would say sand would be your biggest problem speaking from experience. Try to stay on graded roads and you should be fine.

I agree. Not to bad for a stock vehicle and with a Toyota engineer pushing hard. It was a good thing they had the side skid rails though!
