    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

Yup! It's also really easy to strap in, just uses the factory tie down locations in the trunk. My rear hitch rack is still better for carrying two bikes, people and a bunch of stuff, but this setup will work better in high theft locations, potentially bad weather or really rough roads

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

While you are waiting for the trip pictures here are a couple other to hold you over Tough hiking this weekend, the Danner's are breaking in nicely A little while ago I bought the factory Yakima bike rack for inside the Xterra off of kijiji, only $60. This morning was the first time I tired...

Danner Mountain Light II - An on-going review

I am back from my trip, I wore them for about 8 hours Saturday and 5 or 6 Sunday. I didn't have a single comfort issue or any hotspots at all. I did a lot of really rough terrain including hours in a row on mountainside rock fields walking entirely on fallen sharp and irregular rocks, a lot of...

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

Thanks guys, just got home we had a great trip. My brother in law took a bunch of photos with his DSLR So unfortunately you will have to wait a few days for pics. Had a great time and the truck performed great, no issues. We spent a bit more time exploring by foot (and thus less by truck) but...

Danner Mountain Light II - An on-going review

Were you able to try them on in person or order online? It was really hard to find them around here so I had to order online, it was a leap of faith and (so far) has worked out for me.

Danner Mountain Light II - An on-going review

I agree with someof what you are sayingbut I think our definitions of "breaking in" are different. A boot that isn't comfortable from the start will never "break in" and be comfortable. My definition of "breaking in" is when the leather softens up and conforms to your feet. These boots...

Danner Mountain Light II - An on-going review

Wore the Danners for a 90 minute hike this weekend, really their first true test. I had a bandaid on the small recovering blister and wore liner socks under wool socks, no issue. They will be coming with me this long weekend to Pennsylvania for 4 days of hiking, exploring (by vehicle and...

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

I didnt know about the NGK or I would have bought them last time. I only drove it a mile back to my office but I could already feel a difference, little smoother, especially at idle. It was the actual pump that was bad and leaking, so the whole pump was changed.

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

The weekend trip to Pennsylvania is quickly approaching. I had my truck looked at, as I had no time to do the work myself. Turns out my power steering pump was leaking, causing my steering issues, all fixed. They also changed all the spark plugs to NGK (apparently the Bosch I had in there...
