    This thread needs pictures!

Past the point of no return...

Finally... PhotoBucket let me in. Saturday and Sunday saw about 500 miles of interstate and 2-lane PA mountain roads and it did superbly; not much different feel than my IFS with OME suspension. Mileage sucked the first day heading into 30-40 mph winds but Sunday saw essentailly pre-fuel...

Build Order... Comments/ or Thread Links.

Just in case you haven't seen this thread in the forum, here is a good reference for others builds: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52528 We have pretty capable trucks out of the box but if you want to do more challenging terrain, even without a desire for "rock...

RTT platform for 05+ Tacoma: Let me bounce this one off you guys

Looks real good - tucked behind the cab nicely. Just need to have him build you some cupholders for the bed though - looks like they might slide around a bit. ;)

Past the point of no return...

No worries. A picture is worth a thousand words... and I have 32 of them. However, PhotoBucket will not let me into my account! I've done all the things in the FAQ, reset my password, and logged in with 2 different PCs and still no joy. I'll try again later. I know it's not the same as out...

That's good gouge Keating. We were talking about doing some of the same things you recommended yesterday morning. Watch for those changes. We used Ballistic Joints all around. http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/Forged-Ballistic-Joints-Bushings_c_141.html They did "3-link" it at the shop...

    Mesh'd up hundy!

No, a friend loaned me one of his for a comparison. Good luck - just use your imagination - like you did with the mod. You'll come up with something unique and eye-catching.

    Mesh'd up hundy!

Well, DUH - this IS an overlanding forum; 1000 miles is just a shakedown run...:smiley_drive: I didn't have to. My radiator and other plumbing is black so it doesn't reflect light readily. I have read of others who have done the "Satoshi Grille Mod" who used mesh or screen material and...

    Mesh'd up hundy!

Well, I don't know, but if you swing by the house and pop the hood I suppose we can noodle something out. ;)

    Mesh'd up hundy!

You mean an early FJ40 Toyota emblem on mesh like this? Google... there are a number of vendors that you can order the emblems on line, new, or eBay. The later FJ40, FJ60, Toyota truck, or FJC emblems are other options to review. If you're annoyed at seeing through the mesh, black metal...

Here is what we picked up Saturday night... For those who doubt the powerful 3RZ... here's what I brought home after racing for pinks in Lancaster County.

Yeah, I'd listen to what RocKrawler wrote, since he was there at the time. If you weren't involved then it's simply unfairly bashing a vendor; and one who is contributing to the industry and community. Personlly, I'm a capitalist - it's an American thing. Their entrepreneurial spirit is...

The Tacoma is back on the road again! Took it to Richmond for our BBRC meeting last Wednesday. It drives really nice - about the same with the IFS and steering rack. Tracks straight and true. Suspension is firm but soaks up all the bumps - better than the already good OME. Had it up to 85 MPH...

Show us your Toyota 4runner, tacoma or truck.

Now that's a much better picture of the truck. I like how it provides scale and perspective. ;)

TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

Nuh-unh! I console myself with the fact that I get the same mileage as a loaded 80-series Land Cruiser. So there. Truth be told Jim, if I knew what I know now... a first gen with SAC and V-8 would be exteremely tolerable. Anyway, the Tacoma is back on the road again! Took it to Richmond...

    1100 miles later...Introducing Big Red

LOL! You can't make that stuff up! Well, I hope your girlfriend apoligized -- it was clearly her fault. It would have been a nice touch to light them up with your plate frame message board as you pulled away. It's really bright, too. Even with the lights off in the shop at night it lit the...

    1100 miles later...Introducing Big Red

Saw your truck on the lift last night - looks mighty clean underneath. Hopefully it will be in the shop Friday with the sliders on and I can take a look at the rest of it, but it sure looked like some real straight body lines and nice paint. You chose wisely. The glue on the schedule 40...

TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

Best Aussie accent, in a hushed-tone, one you would expect from a wildlfife TV show host... "Crikey, I guess it's going to be an early spring in the bush... watch... ...the TundraBirds have awakened from their winter slumber and have begun posting with regularity. Notice how they display...
