I built a trailer to haul my Jeep to and fro and used air bags. I've never towed anything that rode so smoothly. Empty or loaded, very smooth, quiet. Additionally, I designed it so when I let the air out the back end sits on the ground and I drive off/on. Lovely.

I good case study for the use of airbags, lower them down while camped for easier entry/exit. Juice them back up (you do have onboard air or a compressor, right?) once ready to break camp and head out.
