    Tent search

Hey Karma! Wow, we must be twins or something. I've replaced the back seat with the same box, and am building a rack to go above it, and I've been planning on removing the front passenger seat so I can make room for my Engel 35 qt. frig/freezer. What sort of structure/base did you use once...

    Bolt-together fiberglass Jeep-tub trailer kit

"Comments from the tent camper guys? " I'm torn - A gate style tailgate with drop down (or swing up) table on the inside of the gate, or a drop down tailgate? I can see benefits to both, but I do have a preference. I've not changed my TJ tailgate to a dropdown yet but plan to. I've always...

Need to replace my sleeping bag

I use the Cabela's Alaskan Guide Rectangle bag, long version. It has down on top and another 'magic' fill on the bottom. Rated to minus 40F, which, if I were ever in need of something so dramatic temperature wise, means my GPS is also most likely due for a tuning/replacement! At any rate...

Battery upgrade vs dual battery install

I pondered this dilemma for a bit myself. Decided to go with a huge battery (DEKA) and will be adding solar to either run the frig, or top off the battery, or both. As with most mods, I wasn't worried about if the battery fit in the stock location, I chose the battery first, then did some...

Inexpensive Hi-Lift Bumper Mount Solution plus tips

love those clamps, and the price, and the capacity. Does anyone know if they make something similar to fit a 2-3/8" tubing? I visited the website for the manufacturer of these (no luck) and sent them an email. Haven't heard back.

    Bolt-together fiberglass Jeep-tub trailer kit

"The trailer comes as two 4x4 foot frames bolted together in the center" How clever of those Harbor Freight folks. Disclaimer - The following thoughts are made without knowing the strength of the trailer, nor of the tub once it's attached. I did however, own a Northern Tool trailer in the...

    Bolt-together fiberglass Jeep-tub trailer kit

Well, since you asked...............:coffeedrink::smiley_drive::coffee: A hard cover would be VERY NICE, including..... -light cargo carrying capabilities (things in dry-bags such as clothing, sleeping bags, etc). I'm not so into roof-top tents (I know, blasphemy right?) so wouldn't need a...

    TJ tourer ideas

I think you represent a great number of Jeep owners who have the same or very similar wishes. Me included. My current solution (in the works) is a rack above the back seat area (back seat is removed). This rack also transforms (easily) into a platform (for sleeping, use as a table (albiet a...

Safari Cab "Overland Camper" Trailer Build

My version of the 'cross-wise' bed / rack. This was an initial concept prototype. I've since moved to a design where the rack would extend to the back instead. Couple of reasons have prompted that design change. -more width in sleeping area -with the stock TJ, no worries about the stock soft...

    Another OzTent Groupie

Yes it's a separate standalone unit. It can be positioned under the oztent front awning to support the center (helps with rain runoff) as well as extend the living quarters. I'm thinking the time to set it up is comparable to the time it takes to setup the peaked or std side walls.
