I should have more information to post by Friday. I'm on travel this week but everything got burned in, diff is built, steering is hooked up, frame is cleaned up and painted, and the stuff that got PC'd is back in the shop. They should be building the axle up with knuckles, brakes, and what...

With the SAC I have a lot of leftover parts and components to dispose of - my loss is your gain! Check out the FS, Expedition Equipment section for what's available.

    Stiff OME Ride

I have no solutions to offer but I ran the same thing for 3 years. I didn't think the ride was harsh and you can see we have basically the same truck except mine is a 2001. It's undergoing a SAC right now so I may be longing for the days of my OME suspension or rejoicing at the transformation...

Tell your wife? What are you -- nuts? I told her they have it to change the transfer case oil... and it's really hard to get to and its cheaper than having the dealer do it. I've been travelling a lot lately so I told her there was no rush to get it back. Now I have to figure how to keep her...

Meh, no worries - LINEX. Actually, it does double duty as a mount for the CO2 tank.

    Bags versus Boxes

I'm in complete agreement with cnynrat in post 4 - I do the exact same thing. I like the flexibility it gives you for securing your gear.

Well, that's up for debate; apparently you must have missed my "nice rack" mod... or the "smiley face" air bag key mod. ;)

Pictures don't do it justice; Ryan tacked in the upper link of the PS radius arm after that pic. The joints are massive and rebuildable. Wait till you see the job they did on the transfer case mount and skid, too. There are a few other items getting worked on tomorrow like panhard and...

Carbon Neutral Expedition - CNE I (Spring 2010)

Hmm... that sounds like a real good plan. Depends on when in 2011 but maybe start looking a little harder at 2012? We were talking about a club run to Utah in 2012 - this would be an even better plan.

Some of you have expressed interest in my gently used parts... I'll list what I have available for sale in the equipment exchange forum thread by this weekend; I need to sort through the parts first. I'll PM those that expressed interest in specific items first, though. Naturally, shipping...

Carbon Neutral Expedition - CNE I (Spring 2010)

Maybe we can check it out at Armado this April? I'm going again in 2011 and a few others from occupied Northern VA will be joining this time, including either Lance or Cam.

My 285 is about an inch less in diameter than your 255 but I did recenter my axle too, after I encountered rubbing (4crawlers axle relocation plates). Wait... that doesn't sound right - comparing size with a Montana boy. :Wow1: Here's the proof as best I can document... Great! I'm...
