Mounted in the cargo area, passenger side. Mine is fairly small, 500 watts. How big is the inverter you are trying to mount? I have a 1200 watt in my Silverado that would pose a problem in an XJ...no room under the hood and 2 gauge wire runs are expensive and use up lots of space. I guess...

Wow! I love this kind of creativity and inovation. I can't wait for the next installment. My favorite builds on this site are just that...builds. Anyone can buy it and bolt it, it's folks like you who devise it and develop it who really inspire.

I love it. I discovered it while living in Germany. I have found it here and there in the states. I don't have the disipline to keep it in the house any longer than a day after purchase though.

I think the 170s look great mounted anywhere. The problem I would have with four roof mounted 170s is the frontal area of those big boys. With todays gas priced at $3.50, I am pulling off my antennas for less wind resistance.

Wow, that is a fun build thread to revisit. One of the top ExPo builds among the many catagories. Gets my vote for "Best of Breed."
