I think the old town next would be my choice on a solo conoe but I come from a kayaking background. Osagian makes nice conoes that are built for ozark steams aka shallow and rocky they sre aluminum and have bulges on the sides for stability.
So yes that loop is a pain in the head.
To hold the box down i have some large L bracket that will fasten to the side and bottom of the box and I will use the factory tie downs to hold the rear most half. For the front half I will be installing some flush mount tie downs on the front of the box...
It looks so nice on wood I almost hate to cover it. The drivers side drawer has slides on it but it also rest on the bottom of the cabinet just so when the truck is in motion the slides and drawers sides are not taking all the stress from my toolbag, recovery bag, portable air compressor.
Thanks rayra I measured mine at ride and it's only 1/8th difference, with the driver rear being the 1/8th closer to the frame. Didn't get to extend and see whats going on. After using my harbor freight jackstand for over a year now i guess I better not use them now.
Its sturdy enough i put the stove hooked up a propane bottle a about 10 lbs on the stove my whole cabinet tipped and i had to hold it down. I hope to

Appears i need to buy some wheel spacers, maybe just spin the shock bolt around and let it self clearance. Funny thing is i went both directions on the course and the ditches but only the driver side tire rubbed. Do you think the rear axle is pushe toward the passenger side because the panhard...
