I had the same problem with the velcro on my new ARB transit bag - did not stick despite a thorough prep.
Called ARB tech support; they said they had a bad batch of velcro adhesive that went out with their transit bags. Call them - they replaced it straight away and sent me a new velcro...
Excellent points Martyn; I suspect your testing would stress the hinges of the fridge more than power consumption... the number of times the fridge was opened to extract a cold adult beverage will effect power consumption for sure!

Not so much a heavy spring as is the issue of travel. With the lift of the AAL the N85 only allowed an inch of travel thus limiting articulation. The N76 gave over 3 inches of travel hence the articulation of my pictures from the above post. You don't change the shock it will end up limiting...
One item - multiple applications. Tent fly, lean-to, hasty tent. SilTarp 10x12; packs to the size of a cantaloupe. Load Tamer cinch locks, scissor clips, 550 cord guy lines.
