Hope someone can share more detailed information. I’ve not done a back to back direct comparison but the RRS will have notably less room than the Disco, particularly in the second row and cargo area

As gator mentions, don’t overlook a higher mileage LR3 if it is well sorted and larger service items have been addressed, such as replacement of EAS components (as needed), lower control arms, transmission servicing (people forget about this one), etc. I’ve myself considered a lower mile LR4 but...

Do you have a V6? Land Rover 17” wheels?

I’m sure you can find some on eBay for cheap or use a GAP tool to adjust down the ride height with the existing lift rods

Blast from the past here. I ran a Rovertym/RTE front bumper on it which was a pretty common D2 bumper back in the day. Also ran a Rovertym/RTE 2” HD springs with 1” spring spacers and D1 spring seats in the rear IIRC to give the 285/75/16 a little extra room

Sorry for your situation but Rovers are not without their quirks or frustrating issues

You can just program some of the lift out with GAP tool to get your CV angles back in line. People run more modest EAS lifts and tires fine without having to go back to stock. Did you get an alignment after you put the lift rods on? If not that’s probably a contributing issue

Around a grand is in line for a fluid and filter change in the states. Think I paid close to $900 for mine a year or two ago. Fluid isn’t cheap and it’s a PITA job

Tons of raised 3’s and 4’s and first I’ve heard of this issue. Is it the axles or hubs? Hubs are a semi regular service item due to the size of these trucks. You run a larger tire than most folks run so that’s certainly not helping any axle components

They’re glorified crossovers (at best) with good terrain response. Had a loaner Disco Sport and was really underwhelmed. Honestly might as well get a Ford Maverick or a Subaru if you want better mileage and no low range

Great setup you have now. Don’t be tempted to overbuild it. Enjoyed my D2’s in closer to stock form

I’d consider sizing up you’re tire too. I’m fairly certain you can fit something larger at stock height which aids with your sidewall height in airing down. Look at something with an XL load rating too

Spike, what’s the new tire (and size) that you went with? These continue to grow on me...

Make/model? Always interested in more 19” tire options!
