How do you like it? I'm really interested in one of the single Kokopelli models. What are the drawbacks of having a small inflatable like that? I primarily want to try rivers and lakes.
I quartered a small road flare. Works great. The only issue is that requires a lot of heat to get started. Whatever the striker patch is on top...I couldn’t get it going with a bic but butane lighter did the trick.

Titan Trekker looks neat, but if you have a swing away carrier could just go with more jerry cans? I read something about PhullDs mod, I understand it was also quite expensive..
This might be a stupid question, but why does a V8 on a lighter vehicle get less MPGs than the original truck? On...
If you have a swing out maybe something like this?

Out of curiosity -- are you tsill running the stock fuel tank? And if so what kinda mileage are you getting? It seems VQ40 gets 300 miles to a tank, that's gotta be worse with a vk swap no?
Didn't realize 2 door JK has such a low payload. Is it because of it's short wheel base?
The scout is quite heavy for it's size so I'd err on the side of caution. Looks lik JK has a max tongue weight of 200lb? Scout is quite a bit heavier than that too.
Fjallraven pants are real nice: https://www.fjallraven.com/us/en-us/men/trousers/trekking-trousers/vidda-pro-trousers-m-reg?v=F81760R%3a%3a7323450649395
Articulated knees. Lots of pockets. Selective waterresistance via wax that you can apply. Pretty nice so far.
Not fire proof, already some...
I guess I was thinking more backpacking scenario. I’ve seen fires start with a propane torch that sure works in a pinch.
I never used road flares but most seem to be a foot or so long; too long for an emergency pouch. How about this , any experience...
Wondering if anyone’s using road flares for fire starter? Here in the PNW it’s always wet so thinking of adding something that’ll start a fire no matter the conditions.

Haven't been able to find much info on this winch: http://www.comeupwinch.com/mobile/_eng/pro/detail.php?pid=293&cid=128&f=102#.X4eAxS0ZN24
"Only" 6k pull single line, but that's plenty for my vehicle (5k GVWR) and comes with a 2" receiver mounting already.
Haven't heard about ComeUp before...
I was wondering about how annoying it would be to deal with the small pin for max coupler. Considering going to a pintle setup. Much cheaper, but I'm worried about the offroad noise.
Some back country driving with the scout. Thinking I should get a max coupler or something similar. Always have trouble with the hitch pin mechanism...
Howdy everyone. Been using this mod for a year or so now, blowing everyone away with surface area and compactness. The only shortcoming is lack of a windscreen.
Has anyone come up with a way to keep some of the heat in and protect from gusts of wind?
Looking to add a windscreen.
