    New 270 Awning available.

$750 for 3 walls? That doubles the cost of the awning. I don’t know what setup is like but considering for late season PNW camping Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ovs sells walls for their 270. Quite expensive for what it is though. They use zippers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New 270 Awning available.

Ovs nomadic. I can’t get it super tight for some reason. They don’t recommend leaving it without poles longer than setup, but poles take only a second to setup since they are attached to the brackets. If we are only stopping for a bit I wouldn’t hesitate to go poleless provided thrrrs no wind...

    Smittybilt Scout Trailer Reviews?

Mag daddy looks super cool. I tried these eBoot 100 Pieces Adhesive Cable... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HR9VS4I?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share and most of the failed. I’ll try one more time, sanding down the spot a bit as ebrabaek suggested. Here’s my latest Frankenstein creation. Trying to add...

How do you guys ensure that wiring stays attached to trailer walls? Is tape sufficient or is there a better option? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Smittybilt Scout Trailer Reviews?

Finally figured out a more permanent solution for power. 105ah lifepo4 custom battery in the tongue box (orange toolbox, so I can move it between vehicles) Battery box connects via anderson connector to a fuse box inside the genny compartment. Next step is some switches and lights. What have...

solar charge controller as a dc-dc charger?

Bingo. I have a 120v AC -19v dc at 5A laptop power supply. I dont think it's kosher to connect it directly to the battery because it's unlikely to know the LiFePO4 profile.

solar charge controller as a dc-dc charger?

Ahh, I see what you're saying. The storage charging is something I have not figured out. I have no need to maintain 100% state of charge, unless that is somehow not good for the cells. I intend to manually charge the pack before I leave on a trip, then stick the pack in storage when we get home...

solar charge controller as a dc-dc charger?

It's a 105Ah LiFePO4 system. Max charge is 1C. It's basically a portable battery that either goes in my truck, or in the trailer. Very low draw (12v fridge, some led lights, phone recharging). The laptop charger is a 120v AC charger, but outputs 19v at 5amps. @Verkstad, it is true that from...

solar charge controller as a dc-dc charger?

I've got a solar charge controller and I've also got an old 19+v laptop charger. I've hooked up the laptop charger to the solar input on the solar charge controller and it seems to work to charge the battery. Is there any reason I shouldn't be doing this? Solar charge controller is design to...

    Casita build, solar/electrical help.

You say you don’t need an inverter for 120 and then talk about ac and a microwave. Which is if? A good starting point is to determine your daily power consumption to base your battery bank decision on. The amount of solar will be derived from that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Smittybilt Scout Trailer Reviews?

Finally managed to fit my fridge into the genny compartment. Required some surgery to the tray. Then I found out that I forgot to account for the bolts and riveted the tray to the slide. We’ll find out how well it works in a week or so. Next step, wire it properly. Sent from my iPhone...

    Smittybilt Scout Trailer Reviews?

The rear hitch point on my scout has "no more than 200lb" label. Not sure whether that makes towing anything behind it ok, but just a data point.
