Whoa...Bill got himself a bumper since the last time I saw him. Nice! Looks like a great time was had by all. I still love that burble from the 8.1 as it just cruises on up whatever it meets. :sombrero:
p.s. My vote for the rear diff fix is the return to "dino" gear oil. I know, it doesn't make...
Coleman Ultimate Extreme. Mixture of block and cubes and perhaps just a bit of dry ice for the long run. I use a quilted furniture pad to cover it for extra insulation. Next step up will require multiple C-notes. :sombrero:
How dare that pole just jumping out and getting in the way. Perhaps a backup camera and rear collision warning like your Tahoe? he he:costumed-smiley-007 Because that has never happened to me! LOL The best part is that you could "press" your step bumper back into shape...unlike the flimsy sheet...
My ARB came with shackle mounts that are an integral bolt-on where the bumper attaches to the frame. Not as beefy..or "purty"...as yours, but they were available for my model. :sombrero:
We have a cabin in GVL that survived the fire in '07. Some of your shots show some of the burn area which I have not had the heart to explore since then...so much beauty destroyed. Nevertheless, thanks for your report. Looks like you had fun! :sombrero:
Installed the Alpine stereo unit my beautiful wife gave me for Christmas. It replaced the crappy Pioneer I had installed by Cheech and Chong at the Up in Smoke Stereo Store. :sombrero:
Great write-up and thanks for sharing. Member Larry, Ty, and I were in the area last March...good to hear Grapevine has been worked on. Back then it was passable, but slow and rugged in spots. :sombrero:
A Cummins when the I-6 finally blows? You're gonna be waiting a loooooong time for that Cummins. X2 on the overdrive and all the other suggestions. You have a classic workhorse that will serve you well for many years to come. Good luck on the build! :sombrero:
