I like the specs on that Jet Beam Tony! If you say they are as reliable as a Surefire I just might have to try one. I didn't see it on their site but do you know if you can get a red filter cap for the Jet-IIIM?
Update: I spoke to a guy at Benchmark this morning to try to find out ETA on their iPad topo map app and was told Spring 2011 is probably a realistic launch timeframe. No other info though.
Another vote for SureFire LED. Its the one I always reach for...especially after one or more of the cheapy LED flashlights I bought (Costco), albeit for a fraction of the price, have failed me. Its been dropped, abused and used heavily for a variety of lighting tasks...but it works: Always...
I have the PowerGate Dual Rectifier. Works great; small package; easy to install; just works. I'd buy it again no question.
I use a ScanGauge II to monitor alt output voltage...
Quite coincidently we were talking about this last night at a hunter's meal we regularly have. One of my good buddies, who has been and still is a big game hunter his entire life (his 91-year old Dad drew a NV bull elk tag this year; we were eating the desert big horn his Dad drew a tag for and...
LED technology is still relatively expensive but gaining ground. Haitz's Law, similar to Moore's Law in the semi-conductor/computer world, states 'every decade the cost per lumen falls by a factor of 10 and the light generated per LED package increases by a factor of 20' at least for the...
PMs sent. Thank you! If you love espresso you're about to be quite amazed something so portable and relatively affordable, especially, can put out such wonderful crema laden espresso: Anywhere you can get/make hot water!
Dan
Hi Darin,
Yes I have more to sell at this price. Sorry to hear about your Handpresso. I wonder what would happen if you contacted the folks at Handpresso and asked for a warranty replacement or repair? Not that I don't think you should buy one of the mypressi TWIST refreshed from me...but if...
Nice truck Andrew! You've certainly been advised by now but just be mindful of shock load (ATRAC or otherwise) and/or spinning those front wheels...the front ring carrier has enough flex on these to, under the right (or wrong :coffeedrink:) conditions, increase the load on a given...
PM sent. Also the N2O cartridges are rated to yield 4-double espresso shots or 8-single espresso shots. They have a cool little way of reminding you what double shot you're on! FWIW I've been able, through using it for a couple dozen shots the past week, to get 4-double shots per cartridge...
Again working my way up, over the years, from the el-cheapo plastic grinders to my current Mazzer Mini was expensive. I should have just bought the Mazzer to begin with and 'cried once'. There are a couple decent rated grinders in the $400-$500 range however I haven't used them.
The Mazzer...
The only advantage to the ESE pod is convenience. You do sacrifice taste...and higher per shot price...these are the trade-offs. The Handpresso (both versions) along with the Presso I've been using produce good/OK espresso given their portability and relative simplicity.
The espresso that...
A little group buy going on: FOR SALE brand new in the box mypressi TWIST refreshed (this is the new "refreshed" model released this month) espresso press.
I own numerous espresso making devices but this one has to be seen, used and you ultimately need to taste the incredible espresso it...
Ditto the second pass through a PUR or Brita pitcher; been doing this the past couple years. If nothing else then for the much better/polished taste for drinking and espresso :coffeedrink:
Just a point for you in case you haven't figured this out already: There are dual band but single display 2m/70cm radios (Icom 208H) and the better (IMO...and I have a 208H) dual band with dual display.
