We just got some in at work. They are nothing like the MFC as far as thickness and not nearly as durable. I haven't tried the spout. They seem as good or better than any other CARB gas can.
I agree with this. I don't think 1.5 times the weight is enough. The bigger you build you vehicle the worse you will get stuck and you will probably be further down the trail where it may be hard to get help.
My wrangler is about 3800lbs and I havd a Warn HS9500i. Even witha much of a...
I have had my ARBs since 2001. I have had to replace one brass nipple and part of one line and tighten the tank once. Total time for repairs is less than 15 minutes. 15 minutes of maintenance in about 15 years not bad. I have ran with people who have the Ox lockers and sometimes they have...
I understand what you are saying but i dont think you understand what I am saying., I would not recommend relying on a recover point that is bolted to a frame cross member. The previous 4runner came with the hitch reciever mounted 2 ways. The OPs 4 runners has a 4700 lb rating it is mounted like...
if your 4Runner receiver is like mine it is bolted to a cross bar of the framedand not a true load bearing hitch. I would be very careful doing any pulls especially side pulls.
I would be more worried about rust and wear on a Unibody. The solid axle definitely has its advantages. For a trail vehicle the Jeep, anything else the 4Runner.
"NATO" cans of today are based off a design from years ago, not any current requirements. NATO is an internatinal group of countries based on a treaty. CARB cans are based off a requirement. UN also has requirements which scepter MFCs can meet but they do not meet CARB requirements. At...
I have been using the Scepter MFC from the 90s until present both as a Solider and now civilian. I have never had a problem with them. They don't leak and can taking some serious abuse.
NATO doesn't make cans. About anything the US Military does is compliant with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), http://www.nato.int/nato-welcome/. They call them NATO cans because in days-gone-by NATO forces used them. The modern Scepter MFC are UN compliant and far better than...
I have a spot I got of ebay. It is made for stuff you can get at Lowes. HOWEVER, with a siphon and right length hose you can pump fuel out of your cans with out ever having to unpack them.
If the roads/trails you travel will allow for a trail I would go that route. Ycan get a used cargo trailer, boat trailer or whatever usually for a few hundred bucks. Modify a bit so it will work for you. You don't have to spend money on a high dollar adventure trailer.
I have 5X10 cargo trailer...
I like a cot. I like to be able to sit up. I like to be able to put my shoes or boots under the cot so I don't trip on them. I like to put my stuff under the cot so it is out of the way. I don't like crap laying around so having a cot to put stuff under works for me.
Not sure what brand of...
