    Useful hitch covers

If it works for you that is fine but not a setup I would use or recommend for vehicle recovery. Pulling a vehicle that won't start, your situation fine but not anything much more demanding I wouldn't want to use it. For myself I wouldn't want a recovery point that stuck out. I also wouldn't...

    Useful hitch covers

Thats fine but I would want a thicker strap and mounting point attached at the frame our a very strong bumper designed to have a recovery point. I would want it out of the way so it doesn't drag.

    Useful hitch covers

Not sure what you are saying but what I am saying I would use nothing in this picture to recover a vehicle. It would make a fine step and maybe good for a tie down point.

    COMEUP Winch Official Thread

I have to agree. I have had my Warn for almost 15 years and I am happy with it but competition is a good thing. It is good to see there is a legit competitor out there.

I wouldn't trust that receiver, that step or that strap for recovery.

    ARB portable compressor

I have had the small ARB for their lockers since 2001 and no issues using it for the lockers, never tried using it for anything else. I had an MV50 for about six years (hard wired) and screwed it up when relocating it, my fault. I got another one a few years back and it has worked fine. If...

Do you feel the need to have a weapon when camping

Just like insurance, the added protection of being able to protect yourself is nice. I have extra insurance because I have allot to loose. I carry other protection because I have allot to loose. When I was young and single I also used added protection so I would have things that required my...

    Winch @ Costco (Canada)

I am not a fan of hitch mount winches. Allot of force and stress can created when you use a winch. Hitches usually are rated far less than the forces created by winching. Winches are heavy. Having to move one around and then having to mount it in the condition you are stuck in could be a...

    Overland LJ

My advice would be figure out how to take less as opposed to how to fit more. The LJ will have some more storage space but not much and I don't think it will have much more passenger space. I have picked up more useable space in my TJ by ditching the center console and using a small ammo box...

Even with the better hinges for your tail gate you are still mounting the Jeeps body. With the larger tire and added weight of the fuel can do you think that the body (where the hinges mount) can take all that added weight? As far as the CB mount do you plan on grounding it to the body?

The newer more powerful battery tools are a very good option, even for the garage.

Drivetrain damage: Tire Size VS. Tire Weight ??

My concern is why is the tire lighter? Is it made of a better material and still a strong durable tire or does it have thinner and weaker construction. I would rather have a stronger heavier smaller tire then a lighter even larger tire that could leave me stranded on the trail.

    Pie Cutter Tires

I got mine in 2001. I wouldn't recommend for anything other than a spare to get you off the trail or very lite wheeling.

    On-board Air help!

There are battery operated impact wrenches that would be up to the task of breaking off lug nuts and other similar needs but they are expensive. From what I have seen in order to get the air you need belt driven compressors (run off the motor) will perform better than 12 volt ones.

    Pie Cutter Tires

I have a 33X9.5 on 15" rim BFG MT as a spare tire. I got it because is light and wouldn't weigh too much on the back of my tailgate but side wall is very very very thin. I am not sure if they still make the tire or that size.

    Ammo can idea thread

It won't not be the most comfortable if you carry passengers in the back seat. I dried it and quickly found that it was going to be a danger to my kids with the hard corners and edges. I do have a soft bags in that area where I carry a strap, TP paper, jackets or other soft items. Kids now...
