    My GF’s LR3

Whatever bumper you can put on it that works is a great idea, some purists might differ but this is her LR. One thing that might be a plus is that it can haul a flatbed trailer full of cabinets easily.

Missed out on an LR3, now I have the bug. LR3 vs. LR4

My 3 came with 19s. I bought 18s in black steel and am very happy with them. Duratrac seem to work for me. https://lucky8llc.com/products/18x8-steel-wheel-satin-black?_pos=4&_sid=5cf1d77d0&_ss=r

Missed out on an LR3, now I have the bug. LR3 vs. LR4

Carson G, Thanks for pointing that out. It was a mistake on the $72K, it was $7K through the local dealer. I still thought it was a lot, but without the work it was a paper weight sitting in my driveway.

Missed out on an LR3, now I have the bug. LR3 vs. LR4

I bought a LR3 with 96K on the speedo. Unfortunately the PO did not disclose some very important items that mechanical examination did not show till it stopped running. Just having the heads milled and reinstalled was $72K so my 9K LR was not that much of a dream. Whatever you get, get the...

    Diesel Multi Language Decals

When I had a Pinzgauer and traveled thru Oregon I would ask the attendant, since the fuel tank hole was so large that a nozzle would not stay in like on American vehicles, if they minded that I held the nozzle while they attended to other customers. Nobody minded if they started the filling.

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

They could be mounted perpendicular to the bumper, but will limit the visibility of your lights from the side. You could trade out the headlights for driving lights. Getting into more expense than it might be worth. Mounting those cans on the hood flat will leak, Nato cans won't but the heat...

    Tent advice

Because the RV5 is bigger and basically has the extras (sold separately, of course) it compares to my RV3, course there are only two of us but the 3 has more than adequate room for us. The additional space created by the extra walls is a great thing. The price is a relative thing, I did not feel...

    Installing a side case on a LR3/4

Not a stupid idea, the box (it is not very deep) goes inside the window space with a locking door that allows access from the outside. It is not attached to the outside of the LR. It replaces the window. Perhaps you have not seen the idea used in any vehicle and hence your ridicule of the concept.

    Installing a side case on a LR3/4

Really curious as to how that device does not create wind noise. Thinking about the box that fits where the window goes, like I have seen on several Jeeps. Now that is something I could see adding to my LR3. Nobody sits in the back as I removed the third row seats for a FR shelf/drawer system...
