I write on a piece of painters tape with a magic marker, seems to get the job done. To make sure it is neat I cut it off the roll with scissors. Can't get too fancy.
!2V heated blanket and a Jackery power box. You can use the blanket from your truck outlet or the Jackery and recharge the Jackery from a solar panel or your outlet in the truck as you drive. Great for portable power and has lots of outlets for different power.
I thought of putting a diesel in my 404 but did not have an adequate work area. Sold it and got a Tundra, better hi way speed but not near as good off road. I enjoy seeing the possibilities and hope it works for you.
Talk to Paul at Adventure Tools, they make custom things. Made me a custom item. He is always a good man to talk with and ideas do not always come from one source.
Looks as though those would not be too difficult to fabricate from flat stock. Locks might be difficult though. Maybe use the ones you have and make a set for the middle bar to add the stability you are searching for?
I have a LR3 and used an aluminum 'C' channel bolted to the bottom of the fridge through the bolts that secure the rubber feet. Then to the threaded holes where the middle seat fastened. It hasn't moved in 6 years and it gives room to slide a small pan under it to help catch the water when I...
I seriously doubt that I could ever sell my '07 LR3 for what I have invested in it but it is fine with me as I probably won't be thinking of selling it anytime soon. But based on what you say I am glad I am not looking for one now.
I have never used Rotopax. I cannot seem to justify the price when I have so many Nato cans and have been using them for many years. Can't seem to feel that a plastic container beats out a metal one. I can buy 4 Nato cans (I can source them for $20 military surplus) for the price of one Rotopax...
Perhaps a window might have been open enough to create upward pressure for air lift.
Difficult to see any latches in the front of the camper.
I had a window blow out in my new Dolphin camper in a rain storm while traveling, made for rough sleeping in that loft area. Did not realize it had...
I would imagine that if one is traveling outside the US where tires might be difficult to get if you are an odd size, you (in your planning stage) would have enough forethought to research sizes there and obtain rims and tires for your rig that are used where you are going. Sacrificing the...
The only difference I can notice is the placement of the screw down holder, one for the water is different than for the fuel. The fuel holder has a strip over the fill hole on the can to keep anyone from flipping the top open and siphoning your fuel but I do not see a lock except the small pin...
I used an old sheet to cover my REI inflatable roll up sleeping pad. Keeps it clean and is easily washed. Sewed ( after splitting the flat sheet) one side and the bottom. Flat sheets work better for this stuff than fitted ones.
Sort of what you are talking about.
I had one of those by Baja and sold it but I cannot see why they would not hold two different liquids. Depends on the containers. I did not like mine cause the cans had to be vertical and that was too high for me. Scepter makes fuel and water containers that are the same size, Atlantic British...
Great write up and your pics are well tied in with the wording. Easy to see what you have done and why. Nice of you to add recovery gear for Jeeps, I am sure they will appreciate your thoughtfulness.
I have a Front Runner system in my LR that balances out the weight of the third row seating I...
Many find that carrying two spares excessive or unnecessary, but sometimes two is good. One thing to keep in mind to save weight, depending on your particular tire size is that you probably don't need the second one mounted on a rim. It is also a great place to carry items that can stand...
Sometimes making a decision like this is difficult but exploring many option will help. I applaud your searching for information to really refine your choice.

All vehicles are sometimes in need of repairs. Carefully search and examine your purchase and get records of the work done on your choice and you will more than likely be pleased with the LR platform.
I have had an LR3 for about 8 years now, purchased used and after taking care of some neglected...
