    2004 8.1 Yukon

Pardon me sir. I have no focking clue according to you. I'll be bowing out to your superior intelligence on this matter. You win.

    2004 8.1 Yukon

Cranked bars ride like crap, regardless of the definition why. Get keys if you want to have the cheap lift. For the aux input kit here it is...

    2004 8.1 Yukon

I'll try to hit the questions in order with my thoughts. Issues: 1. Mode door actuator. Fairly common. Might be an easy reach under the dash or tear it all apart to access. I can't remember. 2. Auto ride. Not to hard to disable if it's not working. Cranking up the bars for cheap lift is...

    Old Junk vs. New Junk?

Gee I'm sure your attitude didn't have any play in the issues. Good luck you sir.

    Old Junk vs. New Junk?

Wow. I think that's the most ridiculous thing I've read all week. You rolled up into the dealership I work for and pull a gun on my guys and I'll have you locked up quicker than you think. I'm sure you are being overly dramatic for effect but still it's a bit over the top. I've had many...

Most capable, dependable, affordable truck camper truck?

Careful on the old diesel trucks. Most have been whooped up on, have a bazillion miles on them and generally beat. One of the guys at work just sold a 97 F250 that he's had as a project for the last 4 years. Ate him out of house and home trying to get it reliable. Unless you are well versed...

    M1010 Ambulance to Expedition Rig

Great work on the CUCV! The addition of the OD really makes those trucks much more roadworthy with the gearing they have. I've got a buddy with a complete Banks setup with about 1000 miles on it that's switching to a big block in his burb. Hit me up if you really want to put a turbo on it.

Pretty common issue when the seal in the adaptor fails it lets atf flow from the trans and overfill the t-case.

1990 GMC Jimmy kinda Casa grande progress....

Our destination changed for this year. Death Valley is the new target. Black Rock is wet right now. Local Rangers suggested highly that we not try this early in the season. We know it won't be wet there at least!

"Double down or fold" - Part 2 ...

Let me throw some apples to oranges comparison with my truck. On the surface it's completely different, but drivetrain wise it's closer to the OP's Suburban. I'm running a 5.3 with a 700r4 (call it an analog 4L60 if you want) but the gearing is identical internally. I am running 4.10 gears, but...

"Double down or fold" - Part 2 ...

They are in the right range. The more towing, the lower on the range they gave you. Stick with Dex 6 fluid as it's synthetic.

"Double down or fold" - Part 2 ...

Man a lot of 4l60e hate going on here. Pretty normal, but for the application, it's just fine. Much like others stated, the rebuilt unit was probably flawed or not done quite right. Plus reading over the 5 pages not much was stated about flushing the cooler during the first rebuild, even if...

    ejs262's Suburban(s?)!

I went back and rechecked Prodemand as I had looked up an 85 before. Looked again for an 88 and it does not show the aux battery relay for the 350 engine. That don't mean they didn't build them that way, but the aftermarket schematic isn't 100% accurate. My buddy has my 88 GM wiring manual as...

    ejs262's Suburban(s?)!

For your spares I'd suggest a pair of extra lockout hubs. Any of the brand hubs can fail and they are dead easy to swap out on the fly if needed. They do fall under the better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them category. I carry a spare set of Superwinch hubs I...

    ejs262's Suburban(s?)!

Glad you were able to make a good pair out of what you found. I need to tear down my old Dana 44 to get some spares for mine.

I'd say get it together. Larry's Desert trip in june. Black rock/High rock desert. Throw a cot in there if the inside isn't ready.

Officially the most off-road capable Chalet/Casa Grande EVER! Nice work. Can't wait to see what they do for the rear bumper extension.

    ejs262's Suburban(s?)!

Quick note, if those are 10 bolt axles both 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton are exactly the same. Only the 90-91 10 bolts had the higher spline count axle shafts. It's good to have spares.

Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route By Jeep & Ram Rebel

Nice video. I've covered most of the middle of the route near Beuna Vista and Leadville as it's only 3 hours from my driveway. I do want to hit the area from Cortez to Pitkin this summer though.
