Utility Bed Install with Popup Camper

I think we quickly talked, I saw you come in and was saying you found the right group. I didn't realize you had your family group just north of ours. My wife and I were there with our tri colored dog, Ellie *What she likes to normally be doing, exploring*

Dual USB Charging Port (2.1 amp per port)

Hey guys, just saw this on another board and thought it might be of interest to others. Scosche now has a dual USB charging port that supplies 2.1 amps per port, which will charge 2 iPad at once (or other devices). I know many have found a lot of the adapters that plug into your...

    Tiger Build up

Looking great!!! Do you have any pics of what you did to mount that bumper? I really don't like the ARB that is made specifically for the Dodge, as they just put that chrome hoop on the front. I like the full 'roo bar treatment like yours has.

Fourwheel Camper on a Tundra- Question on rear suspension

Wow, haven't seen that before. Cool idea. How long have you had them? Curious if any long term wear issues with the bags. Thanks for sharing. :)

Fourwheel Camper on a Tundra- Question on rear suspension

Having used helper air bag on my Cherokee to help when we had the Kamparoo in tow, I did custom spec the bags I wanted (used Air Lift Cherokee brackets but found a bag that had more travel then the kit came with, got them to swap out bags) and never had an issue with articulation. Worked great...

Fourwheel Camper on a Tundra- Question on rear suspension

If your camper is going to live on the truck 100% of the time, my vote is custom built springs. I had this done on my Ram by National Springs and have been extremely happy. Great ride, great flex, removed the huge factory lift blocks, which in turn eliminated the wheel hop issue in the sand.

Utility Bed Install with Popup Camper

Great looking rig. Nice change over to the utility bed. Lack of external storage has been my biggest complaint. I picked up an aluminum flat bed last year (used) and have been looking to add that, then add side boxes. I decided to not go with the utility bed as I didn't want to add the extra...

Recomendations for a base truck/suv to build on

With your tow requirement of 8000 lbs. you are going to be looking at a full size rig (likely 3/4 ton), wether truck or SUV. If you want anything that gets decent mileage, you are likely going to be looking at a diesel rig. I am not sure what your daily driver requirements entail but a full...

    STAY AWAY from ALCAN SPRING!!!!!!!!

First, I guess I missed the fact that these springs were ordered without the OP ever seeing/owning the rig. I can't even fathom the idea of buying custom springs for a vehicle that wasn't sitting in my driveway. Second, since none of this info has been supplied by Alcan so it can't be...

Company says 35". I think weight is more the total issue. 150 lbs rated on the swing out.

    fridge replacement

I replaced the 3 way fridge in our FWC with a Nova Kool 12v compressor setup. Been very happy with it and was almost an identical size to the one I was replacing. I just had to put a 3/4" strip of wood along the top edge to close up the gap as it was not quite as tall. They are used a lot in...

I too have the Hitchgate (by Tiregate) and have been very happy with it. I have even used a U-Haul car trailer and towed a '65 Chevy Panel Truck using it. Worked perfect. I was lucky to find one on Craigslist for about half of new.
