I build mine out of metal (alum 5150 what the boat industry uses) had them bend to size and TIG welded the ends only... As far as noise a think rubber padding at the bottom and it as quiet can be... the only draw back is the weight.......and slides.. those suckers are heavy... If I was to do it...

If you go with an Eeze Awn know that the vinyl cover is good for about 4-5 years due to UV ray damage and then it has to be replaced at the owners expense. I had an eeze awn great tent but ours was just too big for only two peeps..... Other than that no issues...

I have a full size Tradesman roof rack... what I did was cut the rails off all around I made a ferring at the front... this would allow me to use my Eeze Awn RTT.. I never carry anything else on the roof rack when I have the tent up there... I have had a few 10' 2*4 beams up there when needed...

I use the Zodi Extreme.... goggle it... .. Its big enough about 4.5 gal for two showers... it can be close or away from the vehicle... it has its own burner but you could also use the camping stove to heat up water.... Its great to have during summer months in AZ and Utah.

The tank Im planning on using is DOT approved... I seen the Manchester tanks but they are pricey and would be too big to put under my rig..... Thanks for the input tho' Keep it coming....

If you are interested on an 80's series.. then I would be looking at the 96-97 years.... No 80 series came with a V8.... but you could always drop a v8 into it... Do look at slee and MUD for more information.....

Im planning on putting a 25 horizontal propane tank I currently carry 2 10lbs tanks on the rear swing out from the bumper...but im getting lazy and having to unmount the tanks in order to be used its getting old... I also want to shift some of the weight from the rear to the middle/front of...

This is my hammock there are many like it but this is mine... I just recently replaced it for the same kind but it can sleep two people instead... it is ubber comfortable
