Monty is not invincible.... or is it ;)

Montero doesn't weigh 3 tons, come on now. :Wow1: My '68 Buick Gran Sport barely tipped 4200 pounds. My '77 Dodge 1-ton 4x4 dually with a walk-in service body and 104 gallons of fuel weighed in at 6800 pounds. WD40 is your friend with a wet distributor.

    4.9 R&Ps anyone?

They have some things, every now and then they post up on 4x4Wire. Something normally happens for them to stop supporting hobbyists. Made some sales easier for me when the parts business was good.

85 Dodge. Chase truck, just without the chase

You could make your life much simpler by getting an 8' box and rid yourself of the 9' one pictured. The Dodge frame is designed to flex, acting like a bridge. I've read elsewhere that the CC have problems with cracked body mounts, such as pictured. Here are some views of centered service beds...

    Post your Mitsubishi Pajero Pics

My Raider once traveled at about 90 with a trailer, GPS speed indicated. There is an 8 degree grade descending from Red Lake (below Kirkwood, CA), that has about 5 miles straight for a nice coasting run. Yes, I immediately slowed down.

    Post your Mitsubishi Pajero Pics

That's the one. I drove my wife around there with our LUV. Also, before the housing development was completed, we nearly were stuck alone while traversing a trail near Harrison Mtn. When I worked at Seven Oaks Dam, 1N16 was one of our access roads. Toward the east end of 1N09, there is an...

Towing: What's the heaviest thing you've pulled? Have you exceeded max towing cap?

"http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff112/rxinhed/Snow%20Run%201-08/P1200068.jpg" Photo by me, yup. Between Carlos, his hydraulic winch and our straps, the Montero pulled the semi forward about 10 feet. This distance was enough to let the driver have a chance to maneuver the truck around and...

Cabover camper for a 10'-12' flatbed on CL - $2000 - Corning, CA

Interesting, not mine: http://chico.craigslist.org/rvs/3998662185.html Ad text: This is a custom camper that I built for my truck. If you have a 10' to 12' flat bed, I can mount this on your truck. It mounts and dismounts in minutes. It is only two years old. It is 21' long. It has a sink...

Best balance of mileage and capability?

MG offered many car models, generally ragtop sports cars. There were coupes and saloons, also. My favorite is the MG V8, which had the Rover V8 with 2 sidedraft SU HD8 carbs...very cool intake manifold.

    Trailer living in CA

I lived nearly a year in my small Class C until I could afford to move my family to my new work area. I resided in two different RV parks, a few nights at the project site, and a while in a friend' driveway. Over the course of the year, I had to rely on the RV for transportation of approximately...
